pulled a Goober from @uni404src and the more i look at it, the more i think the most interesting part is not the NFT itself but the character - the IPs behind them
so my own piece story was a lore about a dude that got trapped in a museum after a fake ID glitch and go on to convince everyone he was a 1077-year-old artifact - it’s hilarious
so he wears a bucket to avoid historical movie spoilers and works as a government agent monitoring chaotic anomalies
if you ask me , none of that really makes any sense, but somehow makes people laugh and that’s exactly my point.
a lot of NFT projects find it hard to create value but this particular one is creating characters people would actually remember - that’s a long term value
and long-term IP usually doesn’t begin with utility
it begins with identity
Pudgy Penguins became more than NFTs because people recognized the penguins
CryptoPunks became cultural icons because the characters were instantly recognizable
Universe 404 is still extremely early and there’s no way to know whether these characters become a lasting IP or just another forgotten collection
but i do think the project is exploring something many NFT teams forgot:
people collect stories far longer than they collect promises
for now, i’m just curious to see where the Goobers, anomalies and other strange citizens of this parallel reality take me to.

Found this project by accident. I’ve watched quite a few of the shorts since and I’m hooked. It’s just so absurd. I love not knowing where the plot is going at any point and always finishing on a surprise. Culture and art over all else with this one. This one’s got me
IP brands are built on attention. If you don't have an audience, you don't have an IP.
To see how we are actually performing, I compared our stats to some of the most respected brands in this space, both established names @ChimpersHQ @pudgypenguins and newer standout @FugzOfficial
I have huge admiration for these teams. They’ve proven what’s possible when you focus on organic reach instead of fake hype.
That’s why seeing what I’ve engineered completely solo with a $0 budget stacked next to them is so wild.
YouTube channel only started in late December 2025, and I started posting on Instagram and TikTok on April 10th, 2026.
Seeing our numbers stacked next to these giants in such a short window is wild.
We are carving our own lane, the engine is performing beautifully, and we are absolutely cooking.
So, ask yourself: Do you want to bet on a future promise, or actual IP that is already running?

This space is flooded with “memes” that aren’t even funny talk less of becoming real long-term ips
Most recent NFTs and memecoins just build on hype, force a mint or token launch, then hope people keep caring after launch
many such cases honestly
But if we look at the things that actually lasted in this space, they all had something deeper attached to them
BAYC, Pudgy Penguins, Milady, Punks etc all became culture
even old memes like dogecoin:native and ethereum:0x6982508145454ce325ddbe47a25d4ec3d2311933 survived because people connected with the identity behind them
this @uni404src universe 404 thing feels different to me
the animation style is intentionally chaotic and the satire always lands
it genuinely feels different from most things i’ve seen recently
they’re building lore, audience and identity first
and tbh, that’s usually how real IPs start
