It's been a fun few days - I got confirmation I have #ESP32S31 sample SoCs on the way, so I thought I better finish this off. The SoC is massive compared to the S3, and is full of lots of little goodies... so much so, that I had to add a 3rd 3V3 LDO! #maker #projects #kicad

I've decided to retire my #TinyC6 - but only because I'm going to replace it with my new TinyC61[D] !The C6 and C61 are a little different, so not 100% drop in compatible, but but it's a Series[D] board with dual Antenna, 8MB of Flash, 2MB of PSRAM, I2C Fuel Gauge + more!

Yes, this is running on my Smart USB 6 Port Hub and yes, this all works, and yes, this all runs without the web interface being open.... but if it's open, it's realtime updates! #maker #projects

Super busy day in @kicad_pcb today - Here's the updated design for my ESP32-S3 Smart USB 2.0 6 Port Hub I was assembling on my stream last week. Now includes powering monitoring per port via 2x INA3221 ICs and a temp/humidity sensor. #maker #pcbdesign

WOW, Opus 4.8 and latest claude-code is THE WORST update @AnthropicAI have released to-date. Insanely terrible. But, I guess, the fact that Claude is honest about its screw-ups offsets the constant screwups .... right???? maybe??? NOT AT ALL! My first 3 tasks with 4.8...

And then the actual first edit results boot looped my target device, and after pasting the stack trace back to Claude - it's fix was to change totally unrelated code - and the boot loop continued in the identical way. Seriously? Did I miss something about this update?

I just told claude to read my heap_allocation_optimisation.md doc/rule-set, and then got it to implement a feature, and Claude broke almost every heap allocation rule in the document....Right after reading it. But at least, when challenged, claude "owned the mistake" #facepalm
