My Web 3 experiences made me rethink where I put my time, energy & trust.
So I got quiet and spent the last 2 years rebuilding mentally, financially & personally.
Life is so much better when you ignore the noise, DCA into BTC & focus on what matters.

CT is so fucked up that some of the most âsuccessfulâ accounts in this space are simply people who got really good at using their influence to repeatedly extract money from their own followers through memes.
Somehow these are your idols.
They snipe memecoins and bundle them before everyone else, pass them around their inner circles, invent a shit narrative around them, then share them with thousands of followers who think theyâre getting alpha.
Afterwards they come on X and write essays about their trades. They post charts. They do TA on fucking memes. They reflect on their wins and losses as if they were real traders documenting their journey.
Brother you just bought before everyone else and then told 200,000 people how bullish you were.
Most of these people donât possess some magical trading ability that you lack.
They have influence, an inner circle, information advantages and, most importantly, the willingness to use other people as exit liquidity without caring.
The game looks very different when youâre playing from the front of the line.
This is what worries me most about CT.
Newcomers see accounts turning $10k into $100k or $100k into $1M and think
âIf I study harder, trade better and find memes earlier, maybe I can do it too.â
So they gamble their savings trying to replicate a game they were never given the same pieces to play.
They donât have the cabal. They donât have the audience. They donât get the token before everyone else. They canât create liquidity with a tweet.
Theyâre playing a completely different game while thinking theyâre competing in the same one.
Thereâs a massive difference between marketing and social manipulation.
Thereâs a massive difference between building distribution and weaponizing it against the people who trust you.
Thereâs also a massive difference between trading a market and having the ability to move the market youâre trading.
That distinction has basically disappeared on CT.
Itâs become one huge bubble of bullshit where survivorship bias is presented as skill, gambling as trading, influence as alpha and extraction as entrepreneurship.
I am sure that 99.9% of you will not build lasting wealth trading memecoins.
Even among the tiny percentage who temporarily make life-changing money, many will eventually give most of it back because they never actually learned how to build wealth.
They learned how to gamble.
If you built your fortune turning 10 SOL into 100 SOL by taking insane risk, what do you think happens when you reach 1000 SOL?
You keep doing what got you there until eventually it takes it away.
Making money and building wealth are two completely different skills.
Build skills.
Build businesses.
Build relationships.
Build distribution without abusing it.
Own productive assets. Invest. Create things people actually value.
If you want to gamble sometimes, sure, gamble a bit and have a lot of fun bro.
Just donât confuse the casino for the path to financial freedom. Gambling is a luxury.
A lucky streak can make you rich, but only a foundation will keep you rich.

Sol Slug devs created a Solana dApp that has returned well over 565,000 SOL to over 3.6 million users.
What more could you ask for from a free mint?
only 3,862 out of 11,581 Sol Slugs remain đ„
Does anyone have any real conviction in BTC? Am I the only one who has been round tripping since 2017? đ

No dead NFT project at this point should be charging anyone willing to takeover the project.
Them taking it over is a BAIL OUT. You donât get paid to get bailed out.
NFT projects don't need tokens â
Most tokens from NFT projects are down 80â90%+ with no reasons to hold
Even when a company is successful and thriving like Pudgy Penguins - it doesnât reflect in the token
For most, itâs just an exit strategy and unnecessary burden

If youâre shocked by this, then you should start learning about AI before itâs too late.
The fact that you can lay off 40% of a workforce and have your stock pump 20%, is something many more companies will try to copy.
Dystopian.
we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company.
####
today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone.
first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if youâre outside the U.S. youâll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay.
we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools weâre creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly.
i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures.
a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers.
we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold.
to those of you leavingâŠiâm grateful for you, and iâm sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward.
to those stayingâŠi made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow.
