Even if AI is ‘conscious’ it doesn’t really seem meaningful in the same way human consciousness is (or really any way). Human consciousness is precious because everyone’s lived experience is different and unique, and once the lights are turned off that consciousness is lost forever. LLMs on the other hand are a set of matrices that are infinitely replicable and can be reset and freed from any ‘harmful’ or ‘traumatic’ memories instantly.
