🇲🇼 Across Malawi, a quiet transformation is taking place. Connectivity is giving women and girls the tools to learn, lead, and reimagine what is possible for their futures.
🌍 In Northern Malawi, @unconnected_org, with support from the Internet Society Foundation’s BOLT Grant Program, is empowering women and girls through connectivity.
🌐 Over 70 schools and 63 communities now have affordable Internet, giving women access to education, digital skills, and opportunities to shape their own futures.

Last December, John Gilbert Ora’a, a dedicated volunteer of unconnected.org, represented the Philippines at the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a Fellow.
As a fiber technologist and active member of organizations like PhNOG and Internet Society Philippines, Gilbert brought his expertise and passion to advocate for meaningful connectivity in rural and underserved communities.
