Today, we're sharing new research on Solaris, our first Interface World Model. Solaris is a new kind of operating system that generates interactive interfaces frame by frame, in real time, with no code. We find that Solaris outperforms frontier LLMs when generating new interfaces, across structural similarity and information retention. Read more and request early access at the link below.

so fast it feels surreal, like peering into a different world
A breakthrough in real-time video generation. As a research preview developed with @NVIDIA and shared at @NVIDIAGTC this week, we trained a new real-time video model running on Vera Rubin. HD videos generate instantly, with time-to-first-frame under 100ms. Unlocking an entirely new creative paradigm and bolstering the foundations of our General World Model, GWM-1. Real-time generation opens a fundamentally different design space for video models and world simulation. We're investing in co-designing our models alongside advances in hardware to keep pushing this frontier.

so this is amazing, and definitely one of the most surreal experiences I’ve had on the internet. video changes everything and makes it so much more personal (and kinda awkward sometimes!) also my 3yo loves it… and that’s awesome :)

there’s a version of this… where agents automatically build feature requests, review them and then automatically merge and deploy them. wild to think about
New in Conductor — submit a prompt! Instead of giving us feedback, submit a prompt for the changes you'd like to see in the app. If it's good we'll run them and merge it into prod!

Probably a security nightmare but I think there’s a lot of value in automating 99% of this

great post. very bold title
We believe the coding agent is dead. Soon, Amp will look very different. ampcode.com/news/the-coding-…

lots of bad vibes from Anthropic lately, reminds me of Microsoft/Copilot in 2023/24. Neglect the builders… and the builders will neglect you
Huh. So Anthropic doesn’t want an ecosystem built on top of their SDK. Message received. Between them banning OpenCode, their hostile stance for OpenClaw, and now this: Anthropic make it they don’t want 3rd parties to build on them. Bug win for eg Codex, MinMax and others…

The way we develop software has completely and permanently changed This is a good insight into what is really important right now (…and it is not code review)
Wrote about software collaboration in the age of AI agents and why I built AgentLogs in the past few weeks. Some quotes: - “GitHub is dying” - “Nobody knows where this is heading” - “It's time to really rethink best practices” spiess.dev/blog/software-col…

Your 2026 GitHub contributions should probably look like this

CanvasKit is very good and AI Agents love it. This is also how we built Amp Tab in VS Code - generating transparent images of diffs that can be rendered anywhere
this would've been overkill 1y ago but @vercel/og (lib for generating rich social previews for webpages) doesn't allow custom font features, which we use in our brand so i had Claude write a custom renderer using canvaskit-wasm @vercel/og left, Claude right (note the a's)

Opus 4.6 reminds me of Sonnet 3.7. Very good, but over eager to skip over stuff to get to the final result. (If anyone remembers trying to get Sonnet 3.7 to fix tests… that was not fun)

If you’re ever curious as to why we had so many VS Code forks in the last few years, this is a good starting point

The Codex app is very, very similar to Conductor and that is not a bad thing. Huge amount of people are going to realise how powerful worktrees are now, as well as having a dedicated app for diff viewing / PR management. VS Code is on its last legs

I spent a long time working on Amp Tab, and I still love it …but I do think this is the right call from the Amp team. Tab completion definitely still has a lot of value, but it’s not the future. It will be used less and less as agents start to write more and more code.
In the future we see, there's no tab completion.

> build a mini git gui > running locally on same repo with hot reloading > tell ai to add a “discard changes” button > nice let’s see if it works > fuck

Many people now use TUIs… and then review diffs in an editor. Many people still use editors… but spend the vast majority of their time in the sidebar. 95% of the editor is no longer necessary. Is there anyone actually rethinking this UX from the ground up?

I think @conductor_build is the closest take on this, but I wish it supported occasional manual editing too
