Suarezians will soon have access to the best AI translation of Disputationes Metaphysicae. I have almost finished the first half of the book.
A few weeks ago I posted Fr. Grou - in retrospect, his counsels on the spiritual life are more suited to those who are already proficient, on account of what he focuses on/doesn't focus on

"O Soul, You who did not merit the first grace, because it
does not fall under merit. Sing always to the name
of the Most High."
St. Francis Borgia, On Benefits Conferred to the Soul (Litany of the Summa)
π§΅(1/3) Today is the feast day of St. Francis Borgia, S.J.
I will be sharing one of his most valuable yet little known works of spiritual theology: His meditations on the Rosary.
π§΅(2/3) After seeing the death of his Empress Isabella and her decaying corpse, he realised the temporary nature of earthly beauty and power, and wanted to serve one who could never die or decay. And so, he entered the Society of Jesus.
π§΅(3/3) He wrote a brief, yet profound, series of meditations on the Rosary. They follow a simple pattern of considerations on the mystery (intellect) and affections following from it (will), and he provides 3 meditations for each mystery.

βRejoice, because you have escaped the various dangers and shipwrecks of the stormy world. Rejoice, because you have reached the quiet and safe anchorage of a secret harbor. Many wish to come into this port, and many make great efforts to do so, yet do not achieve it.β -St. Bruno

"For the devil may tempt the good, but he cannot find rest in them; for he is shaken violently, and upset, and driven out, now by their prayers, now by their tears of repentance, and now by their almsgiving and similar good works." - St. Bruno

"But what is as just as it is useful, as innate as it is consistent with human nature, as loving what is good? And what other being is as good as God?" (St. Bruno; his feast day is October 6)
On the unity of the inner life between the Jesuits and Carthusians (from an essay in the old Jesuit journal "Woodstock")
For the feast of St. Bruno, my patron, I am again reposting the translation of his Vita (the only one in English from Migne's PL):

There exists a martyrdom of those who offer their lives in a single moment, and the more hidden martyrdom of those who give their lives day after day. This is exactly what all Christians are called to do: to give our lives with love, every day.
