@CNN OK, there’s an issue that worries me, and I’d actually prefer it if no party could exploit it to their advantage – if it could be taken out of the current general election clamour. This is a matter for joint deliberations in Congress, even if it means the Democrats can finally have their say again. It is the war situation in the Middle East. I fear this matter is bigger than any of us would like it to be. I can’t simply pin the blame for this war on President Trump. It was the terrorist attack on Israel by Iran and its proxies (or just the proxies) that triggered it. And now we have an ‘all-out war’ that is really taking its toll economically everywhere. No decent person really likes this, but how should we deal with it now?

And then, of course, there’s Russia’s senseless war against Ukraine. They seem to think Kyiv is like Grozny, but they’ll have to reckon with the Europeans’ / EU’s sense of justice. Freedom and democracy – what else? Russia really ought to start getting its act together. Move onto paralel cours...

@CNN It’s an unbelievable outrage what ICE actually gets up to. They’re simply trying to weed out potential left-wing voters – or at least as many of them as possible – or something like that to intimidate people so thoroughly that as few as possible dare to go to the polling station. After all, they’d have to show their faces there. Postal voting is set to be banned soon. This perfidious system could well have been devised by the KKK. What’s the best way to undermine my political rival and just reduce the number of his potential voters if my majority is declining? And all of this, apparently, completely legally. They call it border security. Who’s going to complain about that, right? Mind you, border security is important, but hunting people down within the country like that is at least questionable... Fuck MAGA's ICE! My opinion UB

I do recognise that voter registration probably needs to be improved in the US. After all, you don’t even have an identity card for your citizens. That’s where you need to start. Is there no system for registering your place of residence either? But reforming the whole system through Congress, with the support of all parties...

@CNN May I dock with you, please? Make America great again... 250th Anniversary. Yes, America is great in many ways, and above all because it exists at all. People in Europe flocked across to the democracy founded by George Washington and others, seeking a new life for themselves and their families. But the continent was, of course, not uninhabited. As the indigenous peoples were proud and put up resistance against the new immigrants, this led to many small wars with numerous casualties and many broken treaties. That was certainly no laughing matter. However, as more and more Europeans arrived and the influx simply did not stop, the indigenous peoples ultimately stood no chance. Diseases unknown to them only made matters worse. In Europe, political systems (mostly monarchies) collapsed due to the loss of key figures, and in some cases dictatorships emerged, such as Mussolini’s in Italy and Hitler’s in Germany. Germany had the most ‘Americans’ and also the worst dictatorship (the Holocaust). So, in the southern United States, the landowners had no desire to work themselves and simply bought slaves who had been abducted from Africa. The Indigenous peoples were pushed further and further west and, thanks to their horses on the prairie, were able to put up some successful resistance. This then led to the Treaty of Laramie in 1868, under which the Black Hills were granted to the tribes. Then gold was discovered there and the gold prospectors arrived. Instead of stopping these people, troops were sent to ‘protect’ them from the ‘evil’ Indigenous people. The Indigenous people were then told to move to a reservation. This situation somehow reminds me of 1921, Greenwood and Tulsa. Another disgrace – a massive betrayal by the government and authorities against the Black population living there. It wasn’t until 1964–1968 that full human recognition was granted by law. – So not all Indigenous people went to the reservation, some wanted to keep fighting. Little Bighorn in 1876, then flight. As the government had apparently decided to exterminate the bison – the main source of food for the Lakota and the other Plains tribes – and I mean exterminate – the fugitives were forced to surrender because they could no longer feed their families. Crazy Horse was murdered immediately, and Sitting Bull a few days before Wounded Knee, where large numbers of troops had already been gathered as a precaution.

So, why shouldn’t they reclaim the Black Hills – which were granted to them back then – from the US government today? They have a rich culture too! It would be a win for all Indigenous peoples in America, and for America itself. I’m well aware that there would still be some ‘technical’ difficulties, but hey, it’s the 250th anniversary – it’s about time you got started! LET'S MAKE AMERICA GREAT! For the very first time! ...

@CNN Well, just in case.. Yeah, 6 January was a cosy Hollywood spectacle. The Vikings just stormed the Capitol, beat up all the police officers, threatened the politicians with death and smashed up a load of furniture. What a joy to watch. Did anyone else see it, live, apart from me? Later, some of the worst freedom fighters were arrested and sentenced to prison terms. This turned them into hostages of the Democratic Party. Of course, now that these poor people have been pardoned by President Trump, they’ll naturally have to be given a fair share of compensation ( taxpayers’ money..?) as well, won’t they? Grifters, these events will certainly not be forgotten. There’s no point in you even trying... To this day, I still don’t quite understand why the Democrats didn’t put up a proper fight back then (2024). Today’s events gives me a bit of an idea as to why national unity was prioritised? Be that as it may, watch out, they’ll pull the rug out from under your democracy if you’re not always on your guard... very fresh bananas,..UB

I find myself wondering: why can’t the EU, let’s say, send an expeditionary force to Lebanon to help eliminate Hezbollah along with its remaining rockets? If we work together… then not everything would have to be destroyed all over again. The Israelis have to defend themselves. After all, the EU could later offer Lebanon a so-called privileged partnership. Think about it... It’s clear that 3.5 soldiers would still have to be left in Europe because of the Russians...

To get one thing clear In favour of President Trump: he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize solely for bombing Iran's military nuclear programme. But the ballroom is still too big, and you'd better keep an eye on what's happening in the second and third layers. I think it's really about white political supremacy. I despise that...

By far the most disturbing ICE video I’ve seen from Evanston, IL today. An ICE agent points his gun at unarmed citizens. Twice. Then, he goes around the SUV, drops to his knees, and presses his full weight onto a man’s back. Moments later, that same man’s head is beaten into the pavement while the agent holds his head down. When they finally pull him up, his face is swollen and dazed… clearly concussed… and then they slam his head into the SUV and pin it there with their shoulder. You can’t watch this and call it law enforcement. This is excessive force and criminal assault.

There is a wonderful film about the Wounded Knee events. "Woman Walks Ahead." Definitely worth watching! It highlights the hypocrisy of the American government towards the indigenous population. No time for anything... An extremely cowardly act on the part of the government and the army. First, they kill the last great chief (Sitting Bull, December 15, 1890), and then, when the other people are upset and angry, they are massacred by the 7th Cavalry (December 29, 1890), which had been stationed there beforehand as a precautionary measure. Reminds me a little of the ICE story. Upsetting people with their brutality and then they send the National Guard under federal command and even parts of the Army. I can tell you: I don't like that either...la,la,la UB

Is there free Internet access in Russia? What is the situation? No, there is no longer free internet access in Russia; state authorities are exercising massive censorship, blocking or throttling websites and platforms and restricting freedom of expression, especially since the attack on Ukraine in 2022. Numerous Western social networks are blocked, information is increasingly disseminated through state-controlled media, and surveillance and restrictions on access to information are becoming more intense.

Wanna say this: First of all, no more killing of people looking for food/standing in line by the IDF. That is despicable. It doesn't affect Hamas. Secondly, the lack of supplies, deliberately withheld by Israel, makes no military sense. In the Gaza Strip they are finished now, at the end. You're supposed to just watch and not condemn it? As a conscious, free person? Damn, we all know that this all is going to be difficult. But to torture people to death, that's a whole other ball game. I think everyone has realised... Please, change something, -quickly!
