In this Kano’s evolving political equation marked by realignment and adjustment, I just hope it will ultimately produce a lasting solution to the Kano Chieftaincy dispute. Such a settlement may involve repealing or amending the Chieftaincy Law to accommodate both disputing Emirs.

Ahmed al Ahmed, a Muslim father of two, risked his life to disarm a murderer who was shooting down Jews celebrating Hanukkah in Sydney. Religion must not divide our common humanity. We must stand together and end antisemitism, Islamophobia and all hate — no exceptions.

Just In: The House of Representatives today commenced an investigation into all security intervention funds disbursed by the Federal Government from 2020 to date. My question is did you guys have to wait for Trump to threaten Nigeria to do this? 🙄

Why are we threatening war with Nigeria? Here’s why: Nigeria was the single largest recipient of Chinese construction financing in the first half of 2025, with $21 billion in construction deals, making it a focal point for China’s Belt and Road Initiative. In addition, in late October 2025, Nigeria and China signed a major $3.5 billion investment partnership. This agreement focuses on boosting Nigeria’s infrastructure, energy, and manufacturing sectors, including the construction of new solar power plants, modernization of rail lines connecting major cities and expansion of industrial parks. The partnership is seen as a transformative move for Nigeria’s economic strategy. ….But if the country is in ruin because of war in the name of “saving Christians” China can’t expand their belt and road. That’s the REAL reason we’re threatening Nigeria.

The latest threat by U.S. President Donald Trump @POTUS to launch military action in Nigeria, allegedly to protect Christians, may sound appealing to some. Still, history has shown this to be perilous. Whether you are Christian, Muslim, animist, or non-religious, no one should celebrate such rhetoric. The United States and its allies have a long record of military interventions that leave nations more unstable than before. They failed to secure peace in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, or Syria, and they won’t bring salvation to Nigeria through bombs or boots on the ground. What Nigeria truly needs is not a foreign savior, but legitimate, accountable leadership, one that protects all citizens, upholds justice, and ends the cycles of corruption and violence that have left the nation broken. @realDonaldTrump does not care about Nigerians not Christians, Muslims, or anyone else. Our deliverance will never come from abroad; it must come from within, through real leadership (not the Tinubus of this world) and national renewal. #RevolutionNow

Since 1999, Nigeria has been engaged in a long conversation about restructuring, constitutional reform, and true federalism. But conversations alone do not transform nations. The National Assembly of Nigeria (NASS) has worked tirelessly ammending, over 80 amendments passed this year alone, yet the outcomes have not produced the impact we urgently need. That’s because our challenge isn’t about tweaking the system, it’s about rethinking its foundation. We can’t keep patching cracks in a structure that was never designed to hold the weight of our diversity, ambition, and population. If we want real change, economic growth, functional governance, local empowerment, we must return to the fundamentals, and draft a new constitution that works for all Nigerians.
