Periodt! But a 5-4 Supreme Court decision on birthright citizenship is a stark reminder of how fragile our rights are. A single conservative justice can be the difference between fundamental constitutional protection enshrined in 14th Amendment and the loss of citizenship!

This was not about rounding up criminals and deporting them. ICE randomly detaining Sister Letty Ugboaja in her habit while walking to Sunday Mass proves otherwise. If a legal resident, nurse and Catholic nun isn't safe from ICE overreach, everyone should pause & demand answers.

Happy Father's Day Papai -- today, I reflect on all my father did for our family. Max Tjong survived WWII in Singapore, immigrated to New York in 1970, attended CUNY, and became a public school teacher. He never stopped learning, teaching, or creating opportunities for others.

Lower Manhattan doesn’t just need a representative, we need someone who lived our stories. Born & raised in LES, @weili_nyc is a lifelong resident, tenant advocate, community leader, attorney and son of immigrants ready to fight for us in Albany.
Endorsed by Senator @LiuNewYork, @udonyc, @GrandStreetDems & @CitizensUnionNY and many local leaders, Wei-Li has the track record and grasp of the issues to preserve affordable housing, fund our public schools, prioritize public safety, and expand real AAPI representation.
The primary is here and early voting starts TODAY. Let’s elect a true champion for Lower Manhattan! Vote Wei-Li Tjong for Assembly! #TeamUDO

Congrats to @setochungster for this well deserved recognition from @bradhoylman. Chung has been advocating for more opportunities for immigrants & women for decades. She’s called the OG of OGs because she’s been on the front lines creating the space for more AAPIs to follow.
Honored & grateful to Manhattan Borough President @bradhoylman for the incredible recognition & proclamation naming today “Chung Seto Day” in Manhattan as part of #AAPIHeritageMonth celebration.
Special thanks to Deputy BP Miesha Smith for the warm introduction. Your support meant so much.
Congratulations to all of the amazing honorees being recognized today.

We need more Andy Kims who will put themselves on the line to make sure every human being is treated with dignity, especially those who are powerless and vulnerable.
To our Muslim neighbors in NYC: You are an essential part of the fabric of this city.
We are undeniably stronger because of our diversity, not in spite of it. Our elected officials should stop pitting one community against another. Hate has no place here.

Grateful to receive @udonyc’s endorsement. For years, they’ve organized, registered voters, and uplifted Asian American voices in Chinatown and across our district — helping build lasting political power in Lower Manhattan.
