Roger Simon was one of the great journalists of our time. Born and raised in Chicago, Roger was a wry, incisive columnist and author, who, for four decades, wrote brilliantly about politics and life. (He also an early, beloved Fellow at @UChiPolitics!)
He passed away today, leaving behind a great body of work and a community of admirers and admiring readers.
Below is Roger's farewell column when he retired in 2017, which was moving and is still relevant today.
