White teenagers attack Asian American student & her mother—yelling N-word & C-slur. Family vows to hold them accountable. "I was the wrong one to run into! I am not going to let it slide!" she said. "My mother was driving but doesn't speak good English—she made me translate to her what they said when we got home... the look on her face " Carly Nguyen said the attack was completely unprovoked. When the boys realized they were being filmed—they quickly covered their faces. But she did hear one of the students call another boy by the name "Jack." Boston College High School says they are conducting an internal investigation—but are keeping the victims in the dark because they are "blowing up." Incident occurred in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Carly Nguyen doesn't have an active account on this platform—so posting first full length and credited video here to help raise awareness.

Much has been said by racists, politicians, and racist politicians (like Bo French) about Indians and UT Austin admissions. I thought I should shed some light so their racism could be slightly more intelligent. I'm a brown kid. I grew up in Frisco, went to a massive Texas high school, and went to UT. I would wager that the kids in this picture and I have practically the same background. Like me, they probably went to a massive, pressure-cooker suburban Texas high school, and survived the gauntlet to earn their admissions. These aren’t foreigners. State law requires 90% of UT's freshman class to be Texas residents. 75% of those in-state seats go to automatic admission on class rank. These are Texans. Texas, for better or worse, is one of the few meritocratic college admissions schemes in the country for a school of its caliber. The rules are simple. Today, the top 5% of a public school's graduating class is automatically accepted. There is nothing to game. You can’t fake being a competitive rower or have some consultant write your essays for you. There isn’t anything to steal; it’s all there on the table to compete for. And the competition starts the moment the bell rings for your first period of freshman year. You are ranked in your class every single year, for us, #1 to #450. You knew exactly where you were, exactly how hard you had to compete. My year was even less competitive than it is today. The top 6% made the cut, so that’s an all-out war for ~27 kids to get auto-accepted into UT. So we worked our butts off. Here's what my life was like, starting in kindergarten. Every summer, before the school year started, I had to finish the upcoming year's math textbook. I sweated over getting As, even in elementary school. One funny memory is walking to my parents' room, crying, to report my first-ever 89 on a report card. I did Kumon, my least favorite thing in the world. I still hate that weird half-smile that is their logo. I went to math and science competitions, where I always lost, and came home crying again. (Quite the crybaby, wasn't I!) And everyone else around me worked just as hard. Actually, a lot of the kids worked much harder. I know people who took extra classes (zero period) just to boost their GPA. Who routinely slept 5 hours a night to nail every assignment they had after band practice. Who were distraught when they got a 98 instead of a 100. People who stopped doing things they loved, like sports or arts, because those classes dragged down their GPA. People put their entire life force into getting into this school. I wasn't even in the top 10% of my class. The competition was too good. I wasn't disciplined enough to hang with them. I got in as one of the 22.5% of admits who are at-large Texans. These are American kids who earned their way into this school in the most American way possible. Competition. They were told the rules, they competed, and they got the number. And on Saturday they were in that stadium in burnt orange, screaming their heads off, like every other Texan at DKR or around the country. I can’t feel anything but pride for them. That they get to live the dream that so many of us dreamt growing up! Kids like this have helped improve UT’s standing on the national stage. They made it out of the pressure cooker and placed well in Finance, Big Tech, and more recently, startups. They meaningfully contribute to the economies of our state and country. You should be proud of them too. Overall, this seems like a meritocratic (albeit flawed) way for Texans to be admitted to our state’s flagship school. It’s racially blind. But politicians like Bo French are asking for something different. They want the student body to rebalance racially. Surely they aren’t advocating for affirmative action, are they?
I heard UT graduation this year looked like this. I didn’t believe it. The problem is now obviously far worse than anyone imagined.

I’m happy to share this because I don’t care what side of the aisle you sit on, this is a fact. Speaker Mike Johnson this is for you. Concerning Social Security payments, my contributions were made for over 50 years on every salary I received. From my first part time job until I retired. I always had a job. The Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment?" I'll be part of the one percent to forward this.I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it. The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too. It totaled 15% of our income before taxes. Congress took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew) that it was OUR money they were taking. They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them. And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer. And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a "benefit", as if we never worked to earn every penny of it. Just because they borrowed the money doesn't mean that our investments were a charity! Let's take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare. Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government. Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it. Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income. 99% of people won't forward this to their timelines…..will you? Please, for the sake of our country, repost this.

I know everyone's focused on Nancy Pelosi copytraders sending $BE up 11.83%. Or Trump... But you know what else is cool? FAU bottlenecks for CPO. I remember saying earlier this year FAU/Foci might be a future bottleneck around $TSM / $NVDA CPO roadmaps... This was some media commentary supporting that: "It is understood that Largan Precision (3008), FOCI (3363), and China’s TFC have entered $NVDA FAU supply chain" "Based on an estimated 20,000 Spectrum-X systems shipped this year, the optical engines installed in those systems would require approximately 600k-700k FAUs" In 2027, demand is expected to reach several million units, and existing supply chain capacity is currently unable to meet demand." (UDN, mandarin -> english translation is kinda off) Cough cough, "existing supply chain capacity is currently unable to meet demand" Tad early right now since mass production is expected H2 2027, but cool to read updates around this.

Pete Buttetieg: Inflation has tripled from just one month ago, and it’s higher than when he took office. Not only has Trump failed to deliver on his central campaign promise to make life more affordable - he is actively, directly driving prices up.

Reading all the indignant replies to this tweet, I'm very happy that RWers are fully on board with civic nationalism and the idea that a legal immigrant or child of an immigrant can be just as American as a "heritage American" if they embrace this country's ideals. Now they should tell J.D. Vance to stop saying that people whose ancestors fought in the Civil War have a special claim on this country, and tell the groypers running the government's social-media accounts to stop saying things like "One Homeland. One People. One Heritage," when the whole point of Alysa Liu is that people of many different heritages can become American.
I honestly don't understand how anyone can watch and listen to Alysa Liu and still pretend that non-white immigrants/children of immigrants can't be truly American. She is a quintessential American girl, right down to her hair toss when she finished her routine, and it's awesome.

MAGA check-in: got your Trump phone yet? Paid for it with the $5K DOGE check or the $2K tariff dividend? ICE enjoying that $50K signing bonus? ATC get those $10K checks? Anyway, congrats on the wins: Mexico paid for the wall, the swamp got drained, and all the pedophiles are locked up — love that for you. Also: huge shoutout for ending the Russia/Ukraine war, annexing Greenland, reopening Alcatraz, and making Canada the 51st state. Busy year! And wow — inflation is over, groceries are cheaper, electricity is down, natural gas is down, healthcare is half price, and drug prices are 1,400% lower (yes, that’s how percentages work, obviously). Plus tariffs are paid by ā€œother countriesā€ — definitely not Americans — and Trump’s patriotic gold watches were ABSOLUTELY not made in China. Yay!!!! šŸ’„

Your gut regulates magnesium absorption through TRPM6 channel expression, more channels when you're depleted, fewer when you're replete. The form you take (citrate, glycinate, oxide) affects how quickly magnesium dissociates and becomes available, but once that ion is free, it's hitting the same transporters regardless of what it was bound to. This doesn't mean form is irrelevant. Solubility differences are real, and elemental magnesium content varies across forms (oxide is ~60% Mg by weight, citrate ~16%, glycinate ~14%). But the online debate over which form "targets" which organ has no human evidence behind it. Your status matters more than your form. TRPM6 is also only part of the picture, at higher doses, passive paracellular absorption through tight junctions handles a significant share of uptake, which is even less form-dependent. The idea that amino acid complexes pull magnesium through peptide transporters is largely theoretical to this point. How to know if you're low: serum magnesium is a poor marker (only ~1% of body Mg is in blood). Red blood cell magnesium is slightly better. Dietary intake assessment is the most practical starting point. If you're consistently under 300mg/day from food, supplementation is reasonable regardless of form. I would offer that Alex Pretti putting his body—with his hands up—between a woman and the BP agent who had just violently shoved her into the snow, offer stark competing visions of manhood. Pretti, a nurse caring for veterans, who took a face full of pepper spray to shield that woman, is a much better masculine ideal that the masked coward shoving the woman and executing a man on his knees. MAGA may venerate the latter, but most people in a healthy society want the former.

Wow, Nvidia's CEO now says unequivocally that "China is going to win the AI race". He says this is thanks to lower energy costs and looser regulations. The beautiful irony here is that China's low energy costs are in large parts driven by its extraordinary buildup of green energy. Trump the other day at the UN said: ā€œIf you don't get away from the green energy scam your country is going to fail.ā€ -> well that "green energy scam" might make YOU fail the most consequential technology race of the 21st century šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø Src: reuters.com/world/asia-pacif…

BREAKING: The White House melts down and attacks music legend Jack White after he insults Donald Trump's "disgusting" and "vulgar" redecoration of the White House — prompting White to unleash a scathing takedown for the ages. MAGA should have just left well enough alone... ā€œJack White is a washed-up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample time on his hands due to his stalled career,ā€ claimed White House spokesman Steven Cheung. In truth, White is still enormously popular and successful, far more so than any of the actually washed up musicians and "celebrities" that MAGA likes to trot out as Trump supporters. ā€œIt’s apparent [White]’s been masquerading as a real artist, because he fails to appreciate, and quite frankly disrespects, the splendor and significance of the Oval Office inside of ā€˜The People’s House,'ā€ Cheung added. The idea that agreeing with Trump's infamously tacky interior design sensibilities is a prerequisite for being a "real artist" is laughable. Donald Trump has always had awful taste in aesthetics. Cheung's remarks led to White posting a lengthy screed on Instagram, in which he listed off Trump's staggering number of failures and scandals— "Listen, I’m an artist and not a politician so I’m in no need to give my answer or opinion on anything if I’m not inspired or compelled, but how funny that it wasn’t me calling out trump’s blatant fascist manipulation of government, his gestapo ICE tactics, his racist remarks about Latinos, Native Americans, etc. his ridiculous 'wall' construction, his attacks on the disabled, his attempted coup and mob insurrection and destruction of the sacred halls of congress, his disparaging sexist and pedophilic remarks about women, his obvious attempts at distraction about being a close personal friend of Jeffrey Epstein and his inclusion in the Epstein files, his ignorance of the dying children in Sudan, Gaza, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, his lack of empathy for military veterans and those struggling with poverty, his attempts to dismantle healthcare, his obvious wimpy and pathetic kowtowing to the dictators Putin and Kim Jong Un, his nazi like rallies, his attempts to sell merchandise and products like Goya beans through the office of the President, his fake 'gunshot to the ear' that he showed no medical records or photographs of, his constant, constant, constant lying to the American people, etc. etc. etc." White wrote. "No, it wasn’t me calling out any of that, it was the f*cking DECOR OF THE OVAL OFFICE remarks I made that got them to respond with insults," he continued. "How petty and pathetic and thin skinned could this administration get? 'Masquerading as a real artist'? Thank you for giving me my tombstone engraving! Well here’s my opinion, trump is masquerading as a human being." "He’s masquerading as a christian, as a leader, as a person with actual empathy," he wrote. "He’s been masquerading as a businessman for decades as nothing he’s involved in has prospered except by using other people’s money to find loophole after loophole and grift after grift." "His staff of professional liar toadies like Steven Cheung and Karoline Leavitt have been covering up and masking his fascism as patriotism and fomenting hatred and division in this country on a daily basis," White went on. "And I have 'ample time on (my) hands'? That orange grifter has spent more tax payer money cheating at golf than helping ANYONE in the country. Improve. Anything. There is no progress with him, only smoke and mirrors and tax breaks for the ultra wealthy." "So maga folk, enjoy your concrete paving over of the rose garden, your 200 million dollar ballroom in the White House, and your gaudy ass gold spray painted trinkets from Home Depot, cause he ain’t spending any money on helping YOU unless you fit into his white supremacist country club rich idiot agenda," he continued." "Wow, he hates who you hate....good for you, be proud of yourselves, how christian of you all," White went on. "The only way you can support this conman is because you are a victim of the 2 party system and you 'defend your guy no matter what he does.'" he wrote. "No intelligent person can defend this low life fascist. This bankruptor of casinos. This failed seller of trump steaks, trump vodka, trump water, etc." "This man and his goon squad have failed upwards for decades and have fleeced the American people over and over," wrote White. "This professional golf cheat, this grifter who has hundreds of thousands of deaths from his inaction of the pandemic on his hands, this man that the majority of the country somehow were fooled into supporting and voting into office (through the flawed electoral college) and their love of reality television stars." "Being insulted by the actual White House that this particular conman leads is a badge of honor to me, because anyone who trump supports and likes is a villain who gives nothing to their fellow man, only takes what can benefit themselves," he continued. "And no I’m not a Democrat either, I’m a human being raised in Detroit, I’m an artist who’s owned his own businesses like his own upholstery shop and recording label since he was 21 years old who has enough street sense to know when a 3 card monte dealer is a cheap grifter and a thief," he concluded before signing his name. In his Instagram post, White also shared a photo of Trump hawking his ugly golden sneakers, one of Trump selling MAGA merchandise at the White House, and memes about Trump scandals. He also wrote a caption— "I was raised to believe that we defeated fascism in World War II and that we would never allow it again in the world. I don't always state publicly my political opinions, and like anyone I don't always know all of the facts, but when it comes to this man and this administration I'm not going to be like one of the silent minority of 1930's Germany. This man is a danger to not just America but the entire world and that's not an exaggeration, he's dismantling democracy and endangering the planet on a daily basis, and we. all. know. it. -JW III... 'To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.' - Theodore Roosevelt" By just about any metric, this is one of most brutal, comprehensive takedowns of Donald Trump to date. Let's hope that the White House hits back again, so that Jack White has an excuse to tear into him even more. Please retweet and ā¤ļø to thank Jack White for speaking the truth!
