Of all political systems, “democracy” is the easiest for the ruling elite to control.
Anyone who talks about voting like it matters is only revealing that they still fundamentally believe the government cares about them and is on their side. Newsflash: your government hates you. It doesn’t matter what party they are from, both Democrats and Republicans actively working for the destruction of your nation. Your vote makes no difference, the trajectory of the United States has already been decided by people that you can’t vote for. Both the Republicans and the Democrats are accountable to those unelected powers, not to you. Anyone who doesn’t understand that at this point is either painfully naive or just stupid.

If you’ve been following the discussions on my page recently about my objections to mass immigration on the grounds of ancestral continuity, and you’ve genuinely wanted to understand the worldview those objections arise from, then I should point you toward one of my older films: "The Life and Death of Civilisations." Now, this isn’t a film about immigration as such. It's a film about what a civilisation is, what allows a civilisation to remain itself across generations, and what happens when the forces that once gave it form disappear. Much of the confusion in the conversations I’ve been having with @RealDianeYap and others comes from the assumption that a nation is essentially a territory, a set of institutions, and a population of interchangeable individuals who fill those instutitions. Under that model, provided everyone obeys the same laws, speaks the same language, eats the same food, and participates in the same economy, nothing fundamental has changed, right? Maybe not. The worldview explored in this film begins from an entirely different premise. If you decide to watch it, all I ask is that you leave your modern worldview at the door for an hour. I promise you can have it back after, if you still want it. Drawing from Julius Evola's works, the film discusses the traditional conception of civilisation as a living, intergenerational form-- something transmitted through ancestry, memory, rite, culture, inherited disposition, spiritual orientation, and a continuous relationship between the living and the generations that preceded them. This is why reducing my position to a crude biological racialism completely misses what I mean. The film explicitly discusses Evola’s rejection of a purely biological conception of race. Blood matters, certainly, but not because civilisation can be reduced to genetics. Rather, lineage is one of the vessels through which an inherited form can be transmitted. Evola speaks of an “inner race” or “race of the spirit”, that is, a formative principle which is expressed through a people but cannot itself be reduced to material biology. That distinction is absolutely essential and it is the distinction that every person who misunderstood me failed to make. Traditional peoplehood is neither just a collection of genes nor a collection of cultural habits. It is a continuity of form. The film also addresses something else relevant to the immigration discussion: assimilation. Many people asked "but what about edge cases?" or "what about just a few immigrants?" And the film answers those questions, too. A strong civilisation, according to the framework I examine, is capable of absorbing foreign elements and gradually shaping them according to its own type. Ethnic mixture does not automatically destroy a civilisation or people. A sufficiently powerful civilisational form could incorporate newcomers into itself and can even, under certain circumstances, generate a new and vital unity. But this requires the civilisation itself to still possess enough inner strength to shape and give form to what enters it. Once that formative centre has decayed, the situation changes. The institutions, customs, language, laws, and outward rituals often linger on superficially while their inner meaning has disappeared. At that stage, the civilisation increasingly becomes a hollow shell, and this is where biological and ancestral continuity start to take on greater importance. Why? Because the inherited population may still carry, atavistically within their genes, echoes of forms that the conscious culture has already forgotten. Maintaining the founding genetic stock then becomes the only remaining hope for revitalisation. But even then, purity of blood alone cannot save a civilisation. Evola is quite explicit about that, and I am in agreement. Without an inner spiritual regeneration, biological continuity can, at most, delay dissolution. Sometimes that delay buys enough time for a renewal to occur, sometimes it just results in a slower death. That's why my concern can't be answered by asking whether an immigrant likes hamburgers, watches football, speaks perfect English, earns a good salary, or otherwise behaves indistinguishably from the people already living there. Those things concern outward behaviour, but I'm talking about continuity of being. I'm talking about whether a civilisation remains connected to the generations that produced it, whether something real is transmitted from ancestors to descendants, whether a people can continue to recognise itself through time, and whether the living understand themselves as temporary custodians of something they inherited rather than merely atomised tax-cattle occupying a geographic space. And this is also why asking me, “But what materially changes in your daily life?” fundamentally misses the level at which I am speaking. A civilisation can become wealthier, safer, more efficient, more technologically advanced, and more materially more comfortable while simultaneously losing the very thing that made it that civilisation and not some other. The entire film is centred around this distinction between outward form and inner continuity, and that is the very question I have been raising in these discussions on X. It asks, what remains when the rites survive but their meaning is forgotten, when the buildings remain but the civilisation that built them is dead, when institutions persist after the spiritual and historical forces that animated them have disappeared, when an organic people gradually gives way to a mechanised mass of interchangeable individuals? You don'yt have to agree with any of this. But if you are sincerely trying to understand what I mean when I speak about ancestry, rootedness, historical continuity, deracination, and the loss of homeland, this film will give you a far better idea of the philosophical ground beneath those words than I can possibly convey in a handful of posts on X. See the follow up comment for the link to the film.

What a beautiful take-down
Diane, that's just rude. I've taken the time to engage with you in good faith, after YOU asked me to explain my position to you. You've repeatedly avoided my premises and flattened my argument into a strawman, while I've patiently re-explained it to you over and over. Now you tell me you "don't have the attention span for this" when your entire page is full of you engaging, day after, on this very topic. You are debating it at length, on repeat, with dozens of people. What you seem not to have the attention span for is following the argument once it begins to penetrate the assumptions underlying your worldview. Every time I explain that I’m talking about ancestry, kinship, historical continuity, and rootedness, you translate it into something else: first appearance, then aesthetics, now “feelings.” When I correct you, you simply decline to engage and mindlessly parrot “how does it materially affect you?” over and over again. And as soon as I ask you to justify why only material effects are allowed to count as real or politically relevant, suddenly you’re too tired to continue. Though I have every confidence that you will dig deep and magically find the stamina to keep posting on this subject all day. Your accusation that I “have nothing concrete” lands flat when anyone with eyes can see that I have laid out my own position far more clearly than you have laid out yours. You retreat to that lame position because your whole argument depends on treating your own materialist assumptions as self-evident while refusing to examine them. I If your position is that you don't think ancestral continuity and rootedness have any intrinsic value, then just say so. That would at least be an actual position. And if you want to back out of the conversation you initiated the moment you're asked to defend the premises of your own argument, that's fine, but don't dress it up an intellectual surrender as lack of attention span and imagine that nobody can perceive what you just did.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my objections to immigration are not so materialistic as feeling jealous that an Indian might outearn me or a Mexican might speak Spanish in front of me or whatever. It's not that those "quality of life" issues that are frequently cited aren't a factor, but my primary objection would still remain even if every immigrant perfectly LARPed as a white American. No, my objection is far deeper than that. I want a place that I can call home, that feels like home, that has some continuity with the place I grew up in. I want to be around people whose minds are fundamentally legible to me, who look like me, who speak like me, and with whom I have a shared ancestral history. I want to live among my own people, with our own ways, and be able to say, "this is home, this is where I belong, this is where I am rooted." I never wanted to be a deracinated, rootless nomad, but here we are. There is a deep pain that comes with seeing your home fundamentally altered beyond all recognition and to know that it can never come back. Even if every immigrant was sent home, I don't think the social fabric of American society would recover in my lifetime, if ever. Mass immigration has largely resulted in Americans adapting to the new low-trust society, with detrimental outcomes. Every one of these immigrants has a recognisable place to call home, a place to return to where their people and history and traditions remain as they left them, a place where their lineage has continuity. But they would happily deprive us of all these things they value and preserve for themselves just so they can enrich themselves at our expense. I've never met a single immigrant who felt even the least bit bad about their participation in destroying absolutely every single white European homeland. There is not a single place left in the world that I can reasonably call home. Not the country I grew up in, not any of the countries my ancestors came from. But they don't care. A lot of them even laugh about it and want to rub it in our faces. And my consolation prize for this is supposed to be... *checks notes* ...that Pedro and Pajit are thriving financially as a result of their exploitation of my homeland?

Because someone LARPing as a white American does not retroactively create ancestry, inherited historical continuity, and genetic membership in the chain of generations that produce a people. Do you truly not grasp this concept? Appearance isn't the issue. Descent is. You seem to be treating national belonging as if it's an individual status that can be acquired through citizenship papers or by enjoying hamburgers and football. But I'm categorically rejecting that concept of belonging and saying I cannot experience belonging under those conditions. It reflects the very deracinated condition I've lamented. What I'm saying is that a nation is an intergenerational historical organism, for which descent and continuity are constitutive rather than incidental. Cultural imitation can never be a substitute for genealogical continuity; they are not the same phenomenon. But if you're going to ignore that premise and keep trying to force the discussion into your preferred worldview, then we'll keep talking past each other. So, "what's left besides how they look?" The answer is: Ancestry, kindship, historical and cultural continuity. And I expect your position is that ancestry does not or should not matter, but at least that would be an actual disagreement with my position rather than these strawmans about me objecting to how people look.
Replying to @Philosophi_Cat
No, that’s my read because you haven’t stated what is materially different about immigrants who larp perfectly as white Americans besides how they look. You’ve said a bunch of words, but what would actually be different with vs without the “historically continuous relationship etc etc”?

It's amazing how the right has dropped the ball on Andrew Wimsatt, victim of a partial beheading by a Nigerian, as he sat in a quiet Texas park. He was murdered a week ago and I've seen only a handful of accounts talking about him. As it turns out, Andrew Wimsatt seems to have been well-connected and beloved in Texas. Many pundits and local officials knew him personally and have spoken out about his murder and the Texas state government is taking action. This would seem to be an excellent case for the right to throw their weight behind, with a chance of something actually being done this time. But the right, ever passively reacting to the algorithmic feed, is instead wasting its energy on the usual culture war drivel. Just as the system intended.
NEW DETAILS on the murder and attempted beheading of a man at a Round Rock park. Andrew James Wimsatt sat down on a bench that Monday morning in a plaid blue button-up and shorts. Three minutes later he was dead. A neighbor's camera had already caught Benedict Ogbodiegwu Jr. leaving his house that morning, walking toward the park with something in his left pocket that detectives say looked like a large knife sticking out. He stopped for a drink at the water fountain by the basketball court. Then he found Wimsatt. He came from behind, wrapped his left arm around the man, and started driving the knife into his neck. Wimsatt tried to push him off. He couldn't. He was stabbed several more times before he hit the ground. Then Ogbodiegwu walked around to his left side, knelt down, put his knee on the dying man's chest, and kept going -- sawing the blade back and forth while it was inside his neck. He wiped the blade on his shirt and jogged off toward the pool. Four minutes after he left the park, that same neighbor's camera caught him walking back home, two houses away. That afternoon he turned up at a McDonald's in a different outfit and left as a passenger in a red SUV. The plate traced back to his father's house, nine-tenths of a mile from the bench. When detectives showed him a still from the crime scene video, he admitted it was him. Then said he was never at the park. Then said he has a twin. Asked for his twin's name, he had nothing. Deputies found a trash bag by the garage. Inside: the Honda shirt he was wearing at the murder scene, grey sweatpants with red stains, size 12 Jordans, and a 5.5-inch knife with a wooden handle. The red substance on the blade tested presumptive positive for human blood. The two men had never met. He apparently decided to just stab a stranger. In January, Ogbodiegwu was arrested for theft, which was dismissed. In May, arrested for giving police a fake name - also dismissed. Years earlier, he was arrested for theft. The victim, Andrew Wimsatt, was 62 years old, and an accomplished civil engineer in Texas. He was also an avid nature and wildlife photography enthusiast. Fox News host @greggutfeld called him “supremely gentle. Willing to do just about anything for another person.” Before his murder, Andrew had just returned from visiting his mother a nearby nursing home.

Yes, that's exactly what they do. They find a message that is resonating with malcontents and they work to amplify that message. They don't manufacture it out of thin air. They find the influencers who are already talking about it and work to make them bigger. They find influencers who pander to the mob and fill their audience with bots who recite the talking points they want the influencer to take up. They work with social media to promote certain things in the algorithm. They are very good at manufacturing popularity. Normal people are then exposed to it, and because most people hold opinions that they have only passively received rather than critically thought through, these ideas get taken up by average Joes. So people may believe their feelings and opinions are real, but they are usually unaware as to how the ideas got into their heads in the first place and how they have been manipulated to think about it.

One of the biggest problems with Christianity and its propensity for proselytisation (along with its modern child, liberalism) is that it fails to recognise that different peoples are bound by different laws. The Indo-Aryan peoples are ontologically bound to solar laws, and we naturally gravitate towards solar belief systems and symbols. But take a population like the Australian Aboriginals, a very ancient people. They are bound by different laws. They are a telluric people and they follow the deep laws of the land. They are not suited for our solar laws and it was an injustice to try to make them follow it. Christianity is a strange syncretism. Fundamentally lunar, but it has adopted significant solar aspects due to its mixing with European paganism. This resulted in Christians developing the strange belief that every population must be brought to heel under this mixed solar-lunar law, regardless of their inherent suitability for it. In practice, it became a justification for exploitation and subjugation, and the telluric peoples of the world were ripped from the spirituality that binds their souls. You can force them to profess a belief in Jesus Christ, but you can never make them into Indo-Aryans. Our laws are not for them and they do not thrive under them.

The Odyssey begins by showing an African rapper with rasta in the role of a Greek poet. We Greeks are forced to watch our Greek history and culture being disgraced and mocked across the entire world. What is Nolan's real role in doing something like this instead of casting a Greek person speaking Greek? What's the purpose of casting someone with rasta in the Greek world? I'll tell you. Nolan and Hollywood are the real racists and enemies of the West. They hate us Greeks. The simplest confirmation comes from the fact that when a film is about African history, they don't cast white people, only Africans. When it's about Chinese or Japanese history, they cast only Asians, and they even speak only in their own language. But now that the time has come for a film based on Greek history with Greeks, not a single Greek is cast, they don't speak even a bit of Greek, and they don't even respect Homer. So, for films about European cultures, Africans, Asians, and anything else must be cast, but when it comes to African culture, whites are not allowed to play those roles. This is the real racism of Hollywood. Hollywood is a cancer that rots your souls and enslaves your minds and spirits. They hate you and they want to destroy you. Never forget the real enemies of the West and of your race. Those who are in universities, the academics, teaching your children how to hate their ancestors instead of honoring them. Don't do them the favor. Love the Greco-Roman world and fight those who hate you. Never forget the traitors who took everything as a joke and contributed to the plan to destroy Western civilization.

This is not a simple history lesson, but a meta-historical deep-dive, which seeks the eternal transcendent truths that formed the beating heart of chivalry. What will you find in this film? You'll learn about the symbolic meanings within the Grail legends, knightly initiations including the secret Templar rituals, what love and woman really meant to the knight and why his soul was tied up with his sword and his horse, why the chivalric virtues went beyond mere etiquette, and the truth about what Europe lost when the spiritual tension of that era collapsed. Imagine Christian butchering Christian over ridiculous theological arguments. Take for example the conflict over the Eucharist, specifically whether or not leavened bread could be used to make it. The Great Schism (1054) wasn’t just theology, it spilled into war. When the Patriarch of Constantinople shut Latin churches for using unleavened bread, Rome excommunicated him. Soon Norman troops and Byzantines were killing each other over the Eucharist. The Byzantine–Norman wars (1050s–1080s) cost an estimated 10–20k lives - mostly soldiers at battles like Dyrrhachium (1081). It wasn’t mass slaughter by later standards, but it showed how deep the rift ran: 'faith' turned into bloodshed between Christians. But faith in what? It certainly isn't biblically referenced. It's moronic Church leaders having stupid ideological arguments masquerading as piety and theology.

Camille Paglia is one of America’s most important philosophers.
As I said yesterday, during Mercury Retrograde I usually reread books and revisit ideas to try and glean new insights. Recently, I finished rereading Michel Foucault's "History of Sexuality Vol. 1 and 2" which posited that there is no biological and nature relationship between sexuality and the human character construct, that all of sexuality is socially constructed. This is of course preposterous and the genesis of our current insane views of sex and gender as propagated by the Left and Feminism. I just started re-reading Camille Paglia's "Sexual Personae: Art and Decadence from Nefertiti to Emily Dickinson" which is the ideological opposite to Foucault. She looks at sexuality as a wild expression of nature's current as being dark, dangerous, and beautiful. Paglia also criticizes the entirety of modern feminism and its view on men and masculinity along with their delusional views on female sexuality. Using Nietzsche's concept "Apollonian and Dionysian" spiritual currents, she credits nature's masculine Apollonian solar directed axis as building all the greatness of our civilization. To Paglia, the Dionysian is about initiation into the dark shadow current of the female that creates great art and tragedy, but needs to be balanced out by the Apollonian lest the civilization falls into mayhem and murder. Camille Paglia, a libertarian and a self-professed Pagan, is the most important American philosopher and cultural critic. Rereading "Sexual Personae" after almost 20 years has been one of the more jarring experiences I've had reading. This book is the most important book for those on the Pagan Right to be reading right now, as Paglia in her cultural analysis speaks the truth that the entirety of Western art is based upon Paganism. In this large volume, she takes a Spenglerian and Nietzschean approach to art history and analyzes the Pagan metaphysical currents that inspire Western art from its beginnings in Egypt and ancient Greece (Paglia considers ancient Egypt and its gods as a part of the West going along with the Hellenistic interpretation of the attributes of these divinities) up through modern art and cinema. According to Paglia, the Judeo-Christian Tradition is less of an influence on the West compared to the overarching Pagan influence. I am supplying a quote below to illustrate her point. She is charitable towards the Christian religion here for channeling Paganism's sexual energies but acknowledges its weakness as it succumbs to the power of the erotic image in the media. I don't agree with everything Paglia says, but her words are clear and important: "Happy are those periods when marriage and religion are strong. System and order shelter us against sex and nature. Unfortunately, we live in a time when the chaos of sex has broken into the open. G. Wilson Knight remarks, “Christianity came originally as a tearing down of taboos in the name of a sacred humanity; but the Church it gave rise to has never yet succeeded in Christianizing the pagan evil magic of sex.” Historiography’s most glaring error has been its assertion that Judeo-Christianity defeated paganism. Paganism has survived in the thousand forms of sex, art, and now the modern media. Christianity has made adjustment after adjustment, ingeniously absorbing its opposition (as during the Italian Renaissance) and diluting its dogma to change with changing times. But a critical point has been reached. With the rebirth of the gods in the massive idolatries of popular culture, with the eruption of sex and violence into every corner of the ubiquitous mass media, Judeo-Christianity is facing its most serious challenge since Europe’s confrontation with Islam in the Middle Ages. The latent paganism of western culture has burst forth again in all its daemonic vitality. Paganism never was the unbridled sexual licentiousness portrayed by missionaries of the young, embattled Christianity. Singling out as typical of paganism the orgies of bored late Roman aristocrats would be as unfair as singling out as typical of Christianity the sins of renegade priests or the Vatican revels of Pope Alexander VI. True orgy was a ceremony of the chthonian mother-cults in which there were both sex and bloodshed. Paganism recognized, honored, and feared nature’s daemonism, and it limited sexual expression by ritual formulae. Christianity was a development of Dionysian mystery religion which paradoxically tried to suppress nature in favor of a transcendental other world. The sole contact with nature that Christianity permitted its followers was sex sanctified by marriage. Chthonian nature, embodied in great goddess figures, was Christianity’s most formidable opponent. Christianity works best when revered institutions like monasticism or universal marriage channel sexual energy in positive directions. Western civilization has profited enormously from the sublimation Christianity forced on sex. Christianity works least when sex is constantly stimulated from other directions, as it is now. No transcendental religion can compete with the spectacular pagan nearness and concreteness of the carnal-red media. Our eyes and ears are drowned in a sensual torrent. The pagan ritual identity of sex and violence is mass media’s chief check to the complacent Rousseauism of modern humanists. The commercial media, responding directly to popular patronage, sidestep the liberal censors who have enjoyed such long control over book culture. In film, popular music, and commercials, we contemplate all the daemonic myths and sexual stereotypes of paganism that reform movements from Christianity to feminism have never been able to eradicate. The sexes are eternally at war. There is an element of attack, of search-and-destroy in male sex, in which there will always be a potential for rape. There is an element of entrapment in female sex, a subliminal manipulation leading to physical and emotional infantilization of the male. Freud notes, apropos of his theory of the primal scene, that a child overhearing his parents having sex thinks male is wounding female and that the woman’s cries of pleasure are cries of pain. Most men merely grunt, at best. But woman’s strange sexual cries come directly from the chthonian. She is a Maenad about to rend her victim. Sex is an uncanny moment of ritual and incantation, in which we hear woman’s barbaric ululation of triumph of the will. One domination dissolves into another. The dominated becomes the dominator." (Paglia, pgs. 27 - 28.) This book is very important, especially for Pagans who want to provide a studied counterpoint to those Christians who insist that the Christian religion created the "entirety of the West." Paglia proves how patently false this is, and how the near entirety of the West's creative output comes from Pagan sources. Paglia also is a great philosopher when it comes to dealing with Leftist Feminism and its social constructionist lies about human sexuality. She never glosses over humanity's insignificance in fighting against biology and nature, and she points out just how delusional the feminists are and their view of power relations between the sexes. To reiterate, Camille Paglia's "Sexual Personae" is one of the most important books of libertarian and conservative philosophy regarding art and culture. Every Pagan needs it in his/her collection. She goes against the entire Postmodernist narrative regarding art and identity to view art as a Pagan form of nature worship and magick whose spiritual intentions continue on to this day in the modern art and popular culture of the West. Those on the Christian Right have no idea what the "West" is. However, those who read this book will be highly educated as to the spiritual foundations of our great civilization.

If you've been interested in getting into Evola but felt that some of his books were too dense or complicated, "The Mystery of the Grail" might be the entry point you need. It does not fully explain his metaphysics, but it does provide a specifically Western doorway into Traditionalism, with reference points that are culturally familiar like the Arthurian legends, the Templars, Dante, etc. What I love about this book is that it shows Evola at his most mythically alive. He's working with symbolic material that showcases his strengths as a metaphysician. This is his wheelhouse. He shines much brighter in this capacity than he does as, say, a political analyst. It's also just a less alienating book than some of his political writings, which tend to be fairly harsh and severe. I think it's better to meet Evola in a way that introduces him through the spiritual imagination, and this book does a great job of that. "The Mystery of the Grail" is also an excellent book for making the concept of initiation more concrete. In other works, I think it can sometimes come across to readers new to the concept as being kind of grandiose and abstract, and the Grail material makes initiation much more narratively visible: the knight must be tested, purified, awakened, and brought into relation with a hidden centre. You can see how he is working with the chivalric image and separating out what is the higher, heroic, regal, initiatic current from what is devotional, sentimental, and moralistic. It's a nice book for getting a handle of Evola's symbolic key without first forcing you through the entire metaphysical system. You then have something of a reference point for diving into "Revolt Against the Modern World" or many of his other books. So check it out! It's a quick listen as an audiobook, only about 7 hours.
Over the past several months, I've had the privilege of narrating the audiobook of Julius Evola's "The Mystery of the Grail", and I'm pleased to announce that it is now available on Audible and other major platforms. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the deeper symbolism of the Grail tradition. Evola goes beyond the typical examination of the myths and legends of the Grail as a literary curiosity, a flattened religious allegory, moral lessons, or psychological symbolism. Instead, he approaches the subject as the expression of a genuine initiatic tradition whose roots reach far beyond the Middle Ages. Whether one agrees with all of his conclusions or not, it remains one of the most ambitious attempts to uncover the deeper spiritual meaning behind the Grail tradition.
