To-do list for everyone shocked and horrified by the images of bombed children hopsital in Kyiv: - Ask your representatives to provide more air defense systems to Ukraine. They could’ve saved those children today. - Donate to the bombed Kyiv hospital: ohmatdytfund.org/en/donate 1/

- More lethal help to Ukraine is the only thing that can PREVENT attacks like today’s. Unfortunately, Russia is not interested in peace, so it must be pressured into peace by adequately arming Ukraine for victory. There are no easy alternative solutions here. 3/

- Vote for representatives who understand the threat coming from Russia and are ready to lead your country in these tough times. No far-right or left populists, no Russia appeasers are fit for the job. - Keep being an ally of Ukraine. We need you now more than ever. Thanks. 4/4

Russia knows how to capitalize on Western delays and doubts in arming Ukraine: they are building a coastal railway to improve their frontline logistics. This illustrates a much deeper issue with some of Ukraine’s partners current approach to this war. A short thread 1/6
Satellite images reveal that Russia is building new railway tracks in occupied Ukraine to improve their military logistics 🛰️⤵️ As Western allies stall on arming Ukraine to target the Crimean Bridge, Russians seize the opportunity and construct an alternative connection route. texty.org.ua/articles/112075…

Losing time and resource to restore justice in Ukraine means Russia will gain a lot with its illegal invasion — even though it initially wanted all of Ukraine at a much lower cost. With this precedent, nuclear blackmail and wars of aggression will become the norm globally. 5/6

To sum up, the current strategy of some of Ukraine’s partners makes it very hard to achieve true peace in this war, instead cementing Russia’s gain and setting the tone for the next decades in foreign policy. Only arming Ukraine for victory can get us out of this trap. 6/6

You won’t see it in the news, but last night alone Russia launched 144 attacks on Ukraine’s Sumy region. This northern region has suffered 2,000 attacks just in March alone. Entire settlements are being evacuated bc the intensity of attacks makes these areas uninhabitable. 1/2

Sumy is not in the South or East of Ukraine, it doesn’t have an “active frontline” based on most OSINT maps — but it shares a border with Russia. This devastation is left almost invisible to the foreign eye, and media largely ignores these attacks. (Map by @TheStudyofWar) 2/2

We need to talk about today's 158-missile attack and how sanctions against Russia are failing Ukraine – and hurting trust among all allies. A short visual thread explaining the economy behind today's attack and how the current sanctions regime has enabled it.

Ukraine can't afford to single-handedly fight off the biggest threat to NATO while also doing all the sanctions legwork. We need your help. Thank you.

If you have questions about that tone-deaf Politico opinion from a Russian opposition member:
On a more serious note, Ukrainians didn’t just decide not to work with the Russian opposition out of spite. We see their work, we know their impact — and we can clearly see it brings close to zero impact on Ukraine’s victory, our only cause. Let me break it down for you. 1/6

Talking to Russians is pointless. Ask Ukrainians, they tried and learned the lesson firsthand.
A lesser known page of the Russo-Ukrainian war is the story of how a bunch of Ukrainian digital pros launched a *massive* info campaign in Feb/March 2022 to penetrate Russian propaganda and reach ordinary Russians. It’s time you should know this story (and learn from it). 1/19
