Why does UAEM advocate for ETAF?✊🏽 Technology transfers can happen through several different pathways. By addressing all of these modalities, ETAF ensures public access to these life-saving, public-funded, health technologies that are developed at universities. #Access2Meds
Licensing means that the publicly funded research institution allows another company to use, modify or resell the technology in exchange for compensation. Licensing can be exclusive or non-exclusive.

How to fix this? 🤔 ETAF, a legal framework, is a solution to the mismatch between public investment & public return. It represents some legal demands attached to the technology transfer between universities & the private market to ensure access for the public of the end product
