My first last author paper just dropped :’) so very proud of the bachelor’s student who cowrote it with me! It’s a humble result, but now a long open science question about nonlinear amplification has, at last, been answered! πŸ₯³ arxiv.org/abs/2609.20644

Same as above but now clarifying β€œyours” to imply semiclassicality

Fun fact: this paper started when I tried the problem myself, found an (incorrect) no-go argument, and then was shown to be wrong by the aforementioned students! Which I feel is an honest representation of how science *actually* works πŸ˜‡

This survey is the culmination of a lot of people’s work, and has the potential to help quantum scientists around the globe! Please help us get the word out :-)
πŸ“’ Take the Global Quantum Needs Assessment Survey Let’s shape the next 100 years of quantum science! πŸ•’ Got 10 minutes? Share your voice: diviq.org/survey Help identify needs, assess what’s working, and benchmark representation in quantum.

A note on our theme: inspired by queer pride month, we’re exploring what it means to be proud to be part of the quantum ecosystem! This is of course part of my nefarious plan to make quantum science a queer discipline (*evil cackle*), stay tuned for more!

Ever wondered how it is to achieve vBQC using a measurement based client and an ion trap based server? Wonder no more! Check out this preprint, hopefully the first of a series on client-server-interactions as part of my work with @eu_qia arxiv.org/abs/2403.02656

Our paper in PRA just came out! πŸ₯³ Delighted to de-hype NISQ computation, do some solid quantum optics, and develop some of my own ideas about the nature of the quantum to classical transition πŸ₯° and got to work with some truly wonderful people too! Enjoy!journals.aps.org/pra/abstrac…

It is Wednesday, and so far two notable things have happened this week:

1. At 30, I finally made my first ever non-school institutional email for DiviQ.org!

2. I said at the weekly group meeting that I did some work over vacation, and many people booed! As an American freshly in Europe, I have so so much (un)learning to do! πŸ₯²

And thank you to DiviQ for believing in my vision for building a global, resilient, anti-racist anti-fascist anti-misogynistic quantum science community 😭 we are going to triage the leaky pipeline in the quantum field, and queer quantum science in the process 😈😈😈
