Remember when Auburn cried to the SEC front office for years because playing Georgia and Alabama in November was "too hard"?
They complained so much the conference moved the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry to October just so Auburn wouldn't have to face both of us back-to-back.
Fast forward to this week:
• Georgia just went into Tuscaloosa and played a 60-minute war against Alabama.
• Auburn got to sit on their couch with an open week to rest up and game plan.
• Now Georgia has to turn right around and play Auburn seven days after Bama.
The irony is incredible, but nobody in Athens is making excuses.
Georgia has beaten Auburn 9 times in a row, tying the all-time rivalry streak set back in 1931. The win streak started in 2017 at the SEC championship game. A win on Saturday makes it 10 straight—the longest streak by either team in the 134-year history of this game.
Auburn had two full weeks to get ready. Georgia has a week of practice after Bryant-Denny.
Line it up between the hedges. 🔴⚫️🐾

There will never, and I mean never, be a greater ending to a Georgia Alabama game than Kelee Ringo’s pick 6 in the natty.
But 2 straight minutes of victory formation in Tuscaloosa with Saban in the building the week his documentary is released… is pretty. damn. close.

Oh well. They’ve never felt bad for getting favorable calls for decades so I won’t feel bad now.

I am sure everyone will blame refs for the reason you lost.
No, the reason you lost is bc you didn’t move the ball when Stockton threw the interception. You lost the game when you couldn’t stop Stockton on 3rd down. You lost the game when Georgia 3rd and 4th string running backs were running through your defense.
That loses games.

Shame a PI not getting called is gonna make people ignore:
- Georgia converted a 3rd & 8 at their own 15.
- Ran for 206 yards without their top two backs
- Gunner going 18/22 for 249.
- A 96 yard drive.
- An opening 2nd half WALK N Talk like tud.
- 4 sacks and 6 TFLs

Georgia is 5-0 to open the season for the seventh time in 11 years under Kirby Smart. The Bulldogs have outscored their opponents 257 to 67 (+190 differential) through five games.
Georgia’s 257 total points is the second-highest scoring output through the first five games in program history, trailing only the 1910 team (258 points).

What has John Cusack done to his face?! Oh my fellow Gen Xers, let's not do this. Age gracefully, age disgracefully, whatever -- but don't do this Barry Manilow crap. #RealLloydDobler

Good morning, X.
Since the Mayor of New York City won’t say it, I will.
On September 11, 2001, 19 Islamist terrorists murdered 2,977 innocent people on American soil.
Nearly 3,000 husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, and first responders. Burned alive. Crushed. Forced to jump.
That is not “a tragedy.” That is not “extremism with no name.”
That was jihad carried out in the name of Islam against the United States.
Never forget. Never water it down. Never apologize for telling the truth. 🇺🇸

Am I wrong in thinking that the Mount Rushmore of universally beloved people from the last 100 years or so is Fred Rogers, Steve Irwin, Bob Ross, and Dolly Parton?
Are there any objections to those people? Am I missing anyone?

Does anyone remember this amazing story? On July 2, 1982, a truck driver from California flew 16,000 feet into the sky in a lawn chair. Larry Walters, 33, from San Pedro, had dreamed of flying his whole life. He bought 42 eight-foot helium weather balloons, tied them to a regular Sears lawn chair, strapped on a parachute, packed a BB gun to pop balloons to descend, a CB radio, sandwiches, and a six-pack of beer.
He expected to float a few hundred feet above his backyard. He cut the rope and shot up like a rocket — to 16,000 feet. He drifted directly into the main approach path for LAX. Two airline pilots radioed the tower: they had just passed a man in a lawn chair holding a gun at 16,000 feet. For 45 minutes, he floated over Los Angeles, freezing cold, too scared to shoot balloons because he might fall. Finally, he started popping balloons one by one and slowly descended.
He landed tangled in power lines in Long Beach, California, causing a blackout. When police arrested him, they asked why he did it. He said, "A man can't just sit around." The FAA fined him $4,000. He became a national folk hero — Lawnchair Larry — and inspired the movie Up.

Thank the Lord for Mark Richt and Kirby Smart!
Since 2001 the beginning of Mark Richt’s tenure Georgia has had 18 ten win seasons.
To put that in perspective Auburn has 14 and Florida has 16 during the entire existence of their programs. #GoDawgs

I loved all those players but man, those were some pretty lean years for Dawg fans.
