I don’t understand why Mayor Cynthia Block’s concern that a referendum could cost approximately $1 million. Is not going to cost that much. However, I don’t believe the potential cost of holding a public vote should be used as an argument against giving Saskatoon residents…

opportunity to vote on it. A referendum has a cost, but so does every major democratic process. To me, the important question is Saskatoon residents should have the opportunity to make their voices heard on a project that could affect the city for generations.

“I respect everyone’s right to support a political party, but I would prefer that Saskatoon city councillors remain focused on municipal issues. When councillors actively campaign federal it can raise questions about whether partisan politics is influencing local decision making.

Randy Donauer would not let a Bloc MP bully Saskatoon into accepting Ottawa and Quebec’s asylum pressures. Our city does not have the capacity to clean up the Liberal government’s failed asylum process, and we should not be expected to.

There are 11 new schools currently planned for Saskatoon alone. #yxe #SameoldNDP
Scott Moe announced a new school for his hometown of Shellbrook in his bad news budget. There were more than 200 schools in 103 Saskatchewan communities in worse shape. This decision stinks. If there really is nothing to hide, I call on Scott Moe to publicly release all government documents behind the school capital decisions. People deserve transparency — they deserve a Premier that will represent all Saskatchewan people. It’s time for change.
