“Skip one of the two most critical parts of recovering from exercise to do more exercise.” 😑
A hill I will die on. If you have the option of: A: 6 hours of sleep + 2 hours of exercise in the morning OR B: 8 hours of sleep and no exercise for the day Go with A.

Recently @type_iix had a great quote about "don't train so much you forget what it feels like to feel good." Fantastic advice but almost impossible to self administer, imo.

News to anyone who’s never been in a sprint.

Carbohydrate oxidation: is it aerobic or anaerobic? I was taking the piss in this fats thread for clicks, but only a little. In metabolism, few things are dogmatically one way or the other. Let's look at why fat/CHO oxidation is actually both. 🧵
One of the biggest misconceptions about metabolism is that burning fat is aerobic and burning carbohydrate is anaerobic. It's all anaerobic, including burning fats. 🧵

If we consider ATP used in any anaerobic cellular process as coupled to that process, if it's derived from oxidative phosphorylation (as if we could tell), do we now consider that an aerobic-coupled pathway? The list goes on.

So: aerobic or anaerobic? It depends, as always. Metabolism is so interconnected, it depends on our level of pathway analysis, the surrounding conditions, the cell type, and even the organism. Have fun with this: biochemical-pathways.com/#/m…
