@KorthuisTodd gave a fantastic @OHSUSOM DOM grand rounds yesterday! Unfortunately use is incredibly widespread in rural OR & supply often contains opioids -> ⬆️ overdose. Meds may have modest benefit but contingency management has best data...😭😡 need policy change to fund.

The next time I went to detox was two months after that terrible Easter. My mom was making me. I'd switched to IV after a bout of pneumonia. So I tried again at a different facility, this time smuggling in 32mg of bupe. Worst withdrawals of my life. 1/
