Since 2018, no FBS team has lost more games when leading at some point in the 4th quarter than Nebraska.

The Saddest part of this new CFP is it’s the final nail in the coffin of Bowl games. Man I miss the days of being on Christmas break and watching nothing but Bowl games . A day when Teams wanted to be in them.

What some of yall are missing is that the regular season was the sport. The national championship is supposed to feel so unobtainable that EVERYTHING else matters.
Percentage of teams that make the Playoffs in the following sports ~20% NCAA Basketball ~21% NCAA Baseball ~44% NFL ~53% NBA ~40% MLB Now, ~17% will make it in College football. The argument against expansion was always emotional, not logical. xitter.cf/PeteThamel/status/2110…

Just for the record (since, for some reason, Mizzou has become the default for these idiotic examples)… There has not been a single time that Mizzou has been 7-5 and been ranked in the top 25 of a CFP poll.
Can’t wait to watch 9-3 TCU get left out of the “College Football Playoff” for 7-5 Missouri (because of the 4-month propaganda effort about the SEC gauntlet!!!!!) next season. Yay, expansion!

Hot take: I miss when winning a bowl game was a great season. College football is infected with people that believe national championships are the only metric of success, and I just think that silly and detrimental to the long-term health of the sport.

I get that there are people who are like, "Yes!!! we are going to get better nonconference matchups now!" Two things. 1. There's no guarantee of that. We went from 4 to 12, and the nonconference schedule got worse. 2. Stakes are what make games fun. Yes, we all love watching football, but the consequences for losing is the drama they sold.

Killing conference title games for a 24-team field is backwards. You grow the bracket and delete the one December game where winning your league actually decides something. A conference trophy should count for more than an at-large bid, not less.

This is an absolute disgrace. Getting rid of everything that makes this awesome sport unique so that a few heads at the very top can line their pockets with a little bit more $$$
