👍 A loaf of bread, a lump of cheese, a bottle of cheap red with a few friends. Enjoy the art of conversation.

You referring to this platform? If so, agree. But correlation is not cause re Hanson. Some of the most disgusting tweets I'm seeing I suspect are overseas bots eg. Use of American terminology, handles with many numbers (automated). Wish BotSentinel was still functioning. #auspol
Amazing how Alphabet can ram ridiculous new AI features into an ancient Android phone that's years out of support yet they are unable or unwilling to provide basic security updates.
Why are they allowed to get away with treating the public with such contempt? #auspol #NerdReich

You are probably right, but suspect they need to reflect on whether that strategy is working. Maybe it's a bit like ignoring bullying or ignoring sexual harassment -- tends to just make it worse imo. Share your reaction also.

Hmm... yes, I can understand the reasoning there. Do you reckon it's working as intended? Not sure I am.
We've ended up with consequence free behaviour in the wild west on the socials. All run by companies that actively profit from the attention gained by anger & conflict.

What I heard suggested court cases. Wishful thinking maybe.

Agree, but couldn't the AFP be publicising these prosecutions? I've just spend 15 minutes trying to find a list of them on their web site. I found just one, in September, and it arose from a voice mail not social media. One a week is a lot!! Why keep them a secret? #auspol
Watching AFP Presser on the Helen Haines attack. Media wastes first 10 mins of questions asking rubbish they KNOW can't be answered.
Surprised to learn that one person a WEEK is being prosecuted for threatening Commonwealth officials. 🤔
Why no publicity - until now? #auspol

Did a 2nd year Uni history unit about Nazi Germany. Not uncommon at all for men to swap sides between the Communists & the Nazis (streetfighting). Many were mentally effed up ex-soldiers from WW1 trench horrors. Obviously very different times, but you make a good point.

A 55-year-old man is charged with the murder of an 85-year-old woman in Huonville, Tasmania this morning. He is known to her. Her death means we have lost three women to acts of male violence in four days. All were killed by men known to them.
This victim is the 49th Australian woman killed this year. Last year we lost 79 women to violence - the year before 106 women were killed.

❤️ABOUT THE COUNT❤️
I document all Australian women & children lost to murder, manslaughter, neglect and other unlawful acts regardless of perpetrator gender or relationship to the victim. This means not all women and children killed are lost to domestic violence. They are also killed by people known to them (ie friends) or by strangers. My work includes Australians killed overseas. Every death is documented at AustralianFemicideWatch.org/… (link in bio).

Give your Dad a big virtual hug from me. Feeling very similar.
Absolute worst of this platform on display right now with idiotic baseless speculations about motive being aired regards the horrific attack on one of the most respected MP's we've ever had.
FFS, just stop it.
All thoughts with Helen Haines for a speedy recovery. #auspol
