Saturn & Titan at the eyepiece a few days ago - zero image processing. The smaller moons were also seen visually but the phone doesn’t pick them up well. 24” Dobsonian Telescope & iPhone 14 at ~900x.

Saturn under near-perfect conditions on Tuesday morning; a truly staggering sight to behold. By far the most stable night I’ve experienced in a ~decade of doing astrophotography. The visual view at the eyepiece was something out of science fiction! Info on the last slide.

Saturn also happened to pass a background star. This allowed for the orbital motion of the planet itself to be seen (when the images were aligned on the star), which you can see below. Note the ring spokes and moons at left too!

A distant view of Mars captured yesterday morning under near-perfect seeing conditions. The moons were also detected, despite the incredible distances involved. Mars spans just 5.4" arcseconds in apparent size. 24" Dob, Uranus-C camera at 9900mm f/16.5. 30 mins of data.

Rather weak signal, but the moons are very much there (and in the expected positions)! Deimos is circa magnitude +16 currently.

Totality from Ledesma de Soria, Spain. Nikon D5300 @ 300mm. Tried to process this in a natural way. The first image is close to how it appeared to the naked eye. Even still, no pictures or words can do it justice. A truly remarkable sight to behold.

Another Saturn from July 29th taken later in the night with @tw__astro This one shows some nice detail across the globe through using data taken in the near IR wavelengths which better penetrate Saturn's high altitudes hazes. A bright spot can be seen in the equatorial zone of the planet.

A tiny Mars yesterday morning under excellent conditions, captured during a joint session with fellow imager @peachastro who visited for the night. Sinus Meridiani is centrally placed with the polar hood seen covered with clouds.

Saturn with moons on July 29th I joined @tw__astro last night at his observatory and we spent some hours observing and imaging Saturn and Mars under excellent conditions. The highlight was undoubtedly the visual views which were sublime - especially Saturn with its faint moons alongside and Titan easily seen as a small orange disk. 24" (60cm) Newtonian with Uranus-C camera.

Saturn this morning under excellent seeing. Several large and prominent ring spokes are seen (I even spotted some visually!), with the Encke and Maxwell ring gaps also well defined. See the replies for a timelapse of the ring spokes orbiting the planet.

Saturn and Mars yesterday under good seeing. Janus was sighted at the eastern ring ansa, with possible cloud & dust activity near the north polar cap of Mars.

Mars on July 10th. A very distant view with the planet spanning just 4.5" arcseconds, and appearing equally tiny in the eyepiece visually. A rather uneventful face with Sinus Gomer and Elysium near the eastern limb (though unresolved). 24" Dob, Uranus-C at 9000mm. 03:49 UTC
