As part of the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM 6), organized by the Ministry of Education, @tvmiiser is actively participating in efforts to streamline pending matters and promote responsible e-waste management across the campus.
During the preparatory phase, e-waste and other items identified for disposal were inventoried as part of the campaign.The Institute remains committed to good governance, environmental responsibility and a cleaner, more sustainable campus.

On the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, the Student Welfare Council (SWC), in collaboration with the Health Centre, organised PRAYATI 12.0 – Blood Donation Drive @tvmiiser campus.
The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from the faculty, staff, students and members of the IISER TVM community, reaffirming the Institute’s commitment to health, social responsibility and community service. The blood collection was carried out in collaboration with the Blood Bank, Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.

The IISER TVM community took the Swachhata Pledge as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 campaign, reaffirming its collective commitment to cleanliness, hygiene and responsible civic practices.
The pledge was administered by the Director, Prof. S. Murty Srinivasula, in the presence of faculty, staff, students and other members of the Institute community.
The pledge-taking programme reinforced the message that Swachhata is not merely a one-day activity, but a shared responsibility and a continuing commitment towards maintaining a clean, healthy and sustainable campus.

🧹 Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 | Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath @tvmiiser
As part of Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026, IISER TVM organized a campus cleaning drive, bringing together members of the IISER TVM community in a collective effort towards a cleaner and healthier campus.
Under the theme “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” (One Day, One Hour, Together), faculty, staff, students and other members of the Institute community came together and actively participated in cleaning and maintaining various areas of the campus.
The initiative reaffirmed that cleanliness is a shared responsibility and that meaningful change begins with collective action. Through one day, one hour and one shared commitment, the IISER TVM community contributed towards building a cleaner, greener and more sustainable campus.

The Center for High-Performance Computing (CHPC) @tvmiiser organized a one-day symposium on “Frontiers in Computing in Chemistry: From Molecular Mechanisms to Complex Systems”. The symposium brought together researchers and students working in computational chemistry and related areas to discuss recent advances and emerging directions in the field.
The programme featured invited lectures by researchers from @IISERPune @surathkal_nitk @snbkol @HydUniv @iit_tirupati , @iitbombay @TIFRH_buzz covering diverse themes including molecular simulations, battery electrolytes, biomolecular aggregation, free-energy landscapes, machine learning, electronic structure, and artificial intelligence in biomolecular simulations.
The symposium also included student presentations, providing a platform for young researchers to share their work and engage in scientific discussions with faculty members and experts. The event highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of computational approaches in chemistry and their growing applications in understanding complex molecular and material systems.

आईआईएसईआर तिरुवनंतपुरम में 'हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2026' का समापन एक शानदार समारोह के साथ हुआ। इस समारोह का उद्घाटन आईआईएसईआर तिरुवनंतपुरम के निदेशक प्रो. श्रीनिवास मूर्ती श्रीनिवासुला ने किया और सरकारी महिला कॉलेज की हिंदी विभाग की प्राध्यापक और विभागाध्यक्षा डॉ. शमली एम एम मुख्य अतिथि थे। डॉ. शमली ने हिंदी के महत्व और भाषा व सांस्कृतिक जुड़ाव को बढ़ावा देने की अहमियत पर अपने विचार साझा किए।
समारोह के दौरान, अलग-अलग प्रतियोगिताओं के विजेताओं को पुरस्कार भी दिए गए।
इस पखवाड़े ने आईआईएसईआर टीवीएम समुदाय को हिंदी भाषा की समृद्धि और उसकी सांस्कृतिक विरासत का जश्न मनाने का मौका दिया।

NITI Aayog hosted a brainstorming session with the Directors of IISERs on ‘Catalysing R&D in IISERs in India’, chaired by Prof. Gobardhan Das, Member, NITI Aayog. The session reviewed the research and innovation landscape of IISERs, including key findings from Clarivate Analytics and institutional perspectives on emerging opportunities and challenges.
With the participation of the Secretary, Higher Education, discussions explored the proposed IISER Council, strengthening faculty and research capacity, and rationalising PhD fees to make doctoral education more attractive and comparable with leading premier institutions.
The deliberations emphasised strengthening IISERs as centres of excellence in science, research and innovation, while fostering an enabling environment to attract and retain high-quality faculty, researchers and doctoral talent. The need to promote translational research and convert scientific discoveries into technologies and solutions with real-world impact was also highlighted.
The session reaffirmed the commitment to a stronger, coordinated and globally competitive R&D ecosystem, with IISERs playing a greater role in India’s scientific and technological advancement.
