What I would do in this situation is simple.
I'd go back to learning.
Not because I have to compete with fresh graduates, but because I can combine new skills with years of real-world experience. That's an unfair advantage.
Experience teaches you what to build. Learning teaches you how to build it with today's tools.
The industry rewards people who keep evolving. I'd use my reputation, network and experience as a foundation and keep upgrading from there.

Hiring advice for freshers who have been job hunting for 6-12 months.
Almost every day, I get 10+ DMs.
From friends.
Family.
Someone's brother.
Someone's cousin.
All asking the same question:
"Can you help me get a fresher role?"
And every single time, it hurts to say no.
Not because I don't want to help.
But because most of the companies I work with are funded startups that are scaling.
Most of them don't have the bandwidth to hire and train fresh graduates.
So if you've been applying for months without any success,
Here's my advice:
Take an internship.
I know it doesn't sound exciting.
You spent four years earning your engineering degree.
Your family invested a lot in your education.
An internship probably feels like settling.
But waiting another six months for the "perfect" full-time role is a much bigger risk.
Right now, your priority should be getting your foot in the door.
Once you're inside, everything changes.
You'll work on real products.
You'll learn from experienced engineers.
You'll build credibility.
And you'll significantly improve your chances of landing a full-time role.
Yes, there will always be someone who landed a 35 LPA package straight out of college.
That's great.
But this advice isn't for the exceptions.
It's for the thousands of graduates from Tier 2 and Tier 3 colleges who are still trying to get their first break.
Start somewhere.
Tech rewards people who keep learning.
Your first opportunity won't define your career.
It will simply begin it.
Start somewhere.
