We live in the real world where cities and states are competing against each other.
@GregAbbott_TX is really, really good at this and the next mayor of NYC has to be able to go toe to toe with governors like him to recruit companies and win new jobs.

🚨 Excited to share some incredible news from our portfolio company, @call_hyper 🚨
Today, they're emerging from stealth with a $6.3M seed round led by @EniacVC to revolutionize emergency response through AI voice technology.
Hyper's platform automates non-emergency 911 calls—handling questions, texting links, forwarding calls, and even taking police reports—freeing up human operators for life-or-death situations.
As Benjamin Sanders (@8ENsa) CEO and co-founder, puts it: "Imagine getting stuck talking to someone for eight minutes about a neighbour’s dog barking, only to answer the next call late... and hear the trembling voice of a 5-year-old whose dad has just collapsed."
Ripple Ventures is proud to have been early believers in Ben, Damian McCabe (CPO), and the Hyper team since we led their very first investment at the pre-seed stage, then spearheaded the seed fundraising process, introducing them to our friend @nihalmehta at Eniac Ventures who stepped up as lead investor.
Excited to also be joing by amazing investors like @GreatPointVC @tuskventures , and K5 Global in this oversubscribed round. It's been a frenetic journey, closing in under two months, and we're proud to continue supporting their mission to reduce stress on understaffed 911 centers, support more languages, integrate deeply with existing systems, and ultimately save lives.
Hyper is already live with multiple centers and training on real 911 data!
Congrats to the team on this milestone! If you're passionate about AI for public good, check them out and let's connect on how tech can make a real difference.

I am incredibly proud and thrilled to share that @circle is now a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under $CRCL!
12 years ago we set out to build a company that could help remake the global economic system by re-imagining and re-building it from the ground up natively on the internet.
Our mission – to raise global economic prosperity through the frictionless exchange of value – has animated our work ever since.
When we founded the company, I told every employee and every investor that this was a multi-decade opportunity, and that I sought to build a deeply lasting internet technology platform. Now, just over a decade in, we are just starting to realize our early vision.
Our transformation into being a public company is a significant and powerful milestone – the world is ready to start upgrading and moving to the internet financial system. From inception, we have been deeply focused on being trusted, transparent, compliant, ethical and well governed. Holding ourselves to the high standards of the NYSE and SEC rules and regulations further deepens those attributes.
To every single person, project and firm who’s been part of this journey, thank you. I am humbled and deeply grateful. This is not only a moment for each of us personally, I believe it's a significant moment in the future development of our global economic system as it inexorably synthesizes with the internet.

Rather than artificially constricting the market, the US is best served competing openly with China on AI where everything is available to everyone (microchips, raw materials) and the best companies win.
