It featured remarks by the Sudler Trophy leadership, President Keenum, and other campus leaders, but the speech from Ms. Lance was moving, inspirational, and absolutely pitch perfect in every way. Something 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 is happening in Memphis, and I get to be part of it.
Starting Monday, August 17, I'm the resident magician at Bar 33, the members' speakeasy tucked inside Barons on Mendenhall. Once a month I'll have my own night: close-up table magic at 7:00, a parlor show of mentalism and magic at 7:30, then more strolling afterward. Low light, and a room made for exactly this. It is about the most fun version of this work there is.
Forty seats, excellent drinks, and a few things that shouldn't be possible.
Bar 33 is members only, but I have a limited number of guest spots. If you'd like to be there, send me a message.
