Asian #wheat traders: "fears are growing that several Black Sea shipments might not arrive on time".
I'd call that a very optimistic take. How about "they'll be lucky to get anything out of the Black Sea at all"?
----
Reuters: "The cargoes were due to start arriving from mid-August, but many ships could not go in to load," said a trader who sells Black Sea #wheat to millers in Asia.
"Buyers are thinking about replacing some of these cargoes with other origins, such as Australia, North America and Argentina."
"Millers have booked about 2.0 million to 2.5 million tons of Black Sea wheat for arrival in the period from July to September, or about 30% to 50% of import demand, but fears are growing that several shipments might not arrive on time"

I know for a fact that what @JacintaAllanMP is saying is bullshit. Manheim sell aged assets for the CFA & when some were put up for auction earlier last year, some of them were withdrawn to put back into service due to lack of trucks. How dare she lie like this! #BushfiresVic

We can't wait to for its first commercial harvest so we can hear growers' experiences with this great variety.

New Lentil variety for 2026 “ALB Dane” (ALB2321) at the BCG Main Field Day yesterday. The recent AgVic releases have had a 🐕 naming theme, Kelpie & Terrier, with no real correlation, but not this time, “Great Dane”, big dog & big Lentil.

Key time to look for STB in wheat. In photos note how the dead lower leaves start to look black (due to number of fruiting bodies). In Tasmania this week untreated RGT Accroc had 85% incidence of STB on the lower leaves compared to 5% in Longford.@far_australia @grdc
