Whaddaya know? It's a party political paper for the Conservatives that manages not to mention Conservatives. And attempts to look like a bone fide newspaper. No blue.. Only green on the front page.
Ah f*cksticks. Shouldn't be surprised so close to the "glorious 12th". @MoorlandMonitor @wildmoorsuk @burningmoors @WildJustice_org
Recovery ride today. Nice to spin out the legs. instagr.am/p/CsgCU1itmaZ/
Didn't manage to retain the v80 trophy this year (about 6 mins slow), but still managed a very unexpected 6th overall, despite the weather and the body just not responding well to anything.
Thanks to @alphinpike for his patience and relentless enthusiasm… instagr.am/p/CsegCLprngZ/
Well. They'll do as 'finished' for my level of skill. A long way to go, but with apparently ancient (though very serviceable) chucks, things could be quite a challenge.
Well. We don't want easy, do we?
Thanks to the Shaks for the finishing oil. I will no… instagr.am/p/Csb4CR1LKAs/
Spent an interesting afternoon turning some gash wood into bowl shaped objects.
The challenge is 2 fold.
1. Actually having the courage to start when you don't really know what you're doing or how it's going to end.
2. Keeping the tools sharp and in good… instagr.am/p/CsWk2A_tMY8/
Nope, it's not pretty, no it doesn't look finished. But it's flat, stable, quick, functional and has reused some otherwise junk wood.
In time, it'll be replaced with something a bit "nicer" but until then, it's a platform for a machine.

Got utterly kicked by the easterly today. A 4 gusting 7 with some very odd directions and rotors which made things raaaather challenging.
However, the new news is not that... Its this.
Although I'm still a rank amateur, not all that experienced, the rea… instagr.am/p/Cr1JueeNR1I/
Finally using my @fairlightcycles secan as a tourer.
I bought it a few years ago due to its potential versatility and the longevity of steel.
Thus far it's been a gravel racer, a bike packing rig, a commuter, a road bike and now a bike tourer. It's been … instagr.am/p/CrgU4VftGdj/
Thanks to @thegratefulbreadbakery in Hexham. Blimmin amazing babkas. instagr.am/p/Crf42lct_xR/
Hadrians wall. When you get to it, it's actually pretty long and straight. Unsurprising really. instagr.am/p/CrdQTEjttCd/
Off with the (slightly melted) old, and on with the new.
Sheet metal instead of plastic.
I'm always a bit concerned/scared at doing new things with tools/DIY projects, as mentioned previously, but am very happy how this has turned out thus far. instagr.am/p/CrYLPcrtCsr/
Furling around with wings.
Wingboarding taster day. Often frustrating lack of breeze, but fun, nevertheless.
An easier way to get foiling? instagr.am/p/CrWK7CrtnVo/
I've got to another midlife crisis. I realised that a @leathermanuk would probably be a good tool to have.
(yes, I realise this is not a Leatherman, but the thing about not having a thing is not being able to take a photo of it).
I'd love a PS4, but the… instagr.am/p/CrP40_Rtu8Q/

"I see that you have made 3 spelling mistakes." Last words of Marquis de Favras after reading his death sentence before being hanged (1790).
I really do hate screwing into the end grain of a piece of wood, but it'll have to do for the moment.
Strawberry cage complete.
(no, I'm not trying to stop strawberries escaping, I'm trying to stop squirrels digging them up and eating them). instagr.am/p/Cq5gkGmt2A4/
No. Its not pretty. No, it's not quite how you're meant to do things. No, I don't imagine that @jackbadgerltd are going to offer me a job anytime soon.
However. This represents the beginnings of getting back to doing things in a shed. Usage of tools. The… instagr.am/p/CqxS01_tU_-/
Ah. Octaperformace update. Having exchanged messages with the lovely chap who writes the sessions and having done an Alpe du zwift TT, it seems that I need to swallow my hubris and instead of using the "tt" or "all round" profiles I need the beginner profile. Natch.
