not a direct comparison but I can’t help but think back at how avatar actually had a huge amount of restraint when it came to its digital environments not everything should prioritise verisimilitude of course but it’s tapping into quantumania which I could not stand the sight of

I have faith this will be good but pretty bummed by the visuals here –– stylized production design benefits from strong sets and locations, but many of Gerwig's images are sadly textureless and garishly digital. Lots of people standing around VFX backdrops. It's a little ugly!
