Stigma and misconceptions surrounding #UterineCancer can impact women around the world. This Uterine Cancer Awareness Month, we seek to amplify the voices of those affected. This video is a strong statement for the first day of June and #UCAM.
Together with organizations from the @IGCANetwork, we collected statements from those personally affected by this disease. Nearly half of the women who took the survey said they experienced stigma, shaming or misunderstanding – from loved ones and doctors alike.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the incredible women who shared their experiences with us. With the incidence and mortality of endometrial cancer on the rise, we need to raise awareness and push back against the stigmas that stand in the way of earlier diagnosis.
Everyone with gynecological concerns should feel heard and supported. Watch the full video at igcs.org/ucam/
