One of my recent favorite AI use cases: asking it to try and break the stuff I built. Adding lots of data, long names, unusual emails, labels, etc. Coming up with worst case scenario basically.
This is a vibe-coded demo, but you get the idea.

I've been reflecting on this. I'm generally a very optimistic person, but lately I've been feeling a strange sense of sadness that coding has been "solved".
I can, and have, made many caveats to "solved"... but I also know that in five years none of them will matter. It will be solved.
Building things is still fun, but a different kind of fun. It doesn't activate the same parts of my brain as trad coding did.
I think it's okay to mourn the thing we loved doing being different now. Software was the first job to go through the five AI stages of grief, which means we're also some of the first to internalize that this will happen to many other jobs.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

I’m like 98% sure that you should set `text-wrap: pretty;` by default globally in your app.
It gives you nicer line breaks (avoids orphans),which is what you want most of the time. Then fix the edge cases where orphans are actually what you need like some headings (edge case!).

Look: for the foreseeable future, every week some company will drop a really incredible model update or personal agent experience that you want to try, and they're going to subsidize their tokens as aggressively as possible to convince you to switch.
Your goal should be to make it dead-simple to bounce between all the apps/models/tools without losing your accrued context+personalization.
This is no time for corpo-allegiance. This is the time to Try All the Things and feel the insane intelligence gradient we're all riding up. On a day to day basis you should be freely switching between coding agents and personal agents with zero worry that they're going to forget some critical detail about you or how you like to work.
Ofc I'm biased, but I believe Notion is the only reasonable solution here. Yeet everything into Notion: skills, instructions, tasks, history, etc. so that any time you switch tools or models you're never starting from scratch.

In software engineering, everyone has their opinions. I think I am fairly flexible but one opinion I hold very strongly is Make it work, then make it better.
The vision/MVP needs to be strong. You will always improve software but getting that 0 to 1 is the most important part for me

I’ve seen stories like this told about the Holocaust my whole life.
the right way to use model capabilities is not to ship 10x more features to prod
it's to spend more time understanding your users, trying experiments, building prototypes, learning about things you don't understand so that you can ship things that actually work

Jev is cool. So is it's OSS companion, Laya.
The Latest Cool Thing In AI™ tends to get a lot of hype, sometimes without everyone even understanding it. So... what is this thing?
Jev is an AI model that consumes input and produces output VERY differently than chat, claude, grok. The input is two things:
1) Text state to assess. Email, html, code, whatever.
2) A set of questions which will be asked about the attached state.
The canonical example from TypeSafe's docs is to identify the urgency of a support ticket. We pass the model the customer text + a single noul question "is this urgent?".
Jev returns a full set of JSON. This JSON is not generated with token-by-token autoregression. Jev is not trained to produce sequences of text tokens, rather to answer questions, and guarantees well-formed responses.
In the example below, we see it produces a 0.99 probability (on a 0-1.0 scale) that the answer is "yes."
Jev supports exactly three types of questions (seconds example in video):
a) Noul: 0–1 probability that the answer to a yes/no question is "yes."
b) Choice: Ask question with pre-defined set of answers. Jev chooses the best and assigns probabilities to each.
c) Score: Ask question with pre-defined scale of answers. Jev produces a position on the scale.
Jev computes answers for all questions in parallel, making responses super fast even for many questions in a single request.
This might seem like a narrow set of capabilities, but in the right contexts leads to incredible potential. It also makes for a useful API / primitive for programming, since the outputs are... *ahem*... type-safe and predictable in structure.
Jev is not going to replace LLMs for writing your code, auto-generating your docs, or being at the core of an agent harness.
But Jev IS incredibly cool, and will be used to build a lot of amazing tech.
Hope this helps.

An investigation by the Israeli outlet HaMakom (המקום הכי חם בגיהנום) reports that soldiers from the Nahal Brigade’s 50th Battalion found an elderly Palestinian woman in a combat zone in Gaza and decided to evacuate her.
She was bound and blindfolded and placed in a military vehicle with three soldiers. According to testimony collected by HaMakom, the officer accompanying her received a phone call, stopped the vehicle, took the elderly woman out, and shot her dead.
One soldier described it as “the execution of an elderly woman who was supposed to be evacuated.”
