Tillman says cheap Bitcoin-backed loans will unlock retail adoption
"You can say all you want about real estate and how it's made so many millionaires in America. It's the backbone, it is. But when you really peel back the onion, the reason why it is, is because it's one of the most liquid assets that you can have upside potential against."
"You can go to any bank and pull a HELOC literally the day after you close on a property, and they'll give you money against the positive equity. We've systematically made liquidity available attached to real estate."
"When that can be said for Bitcoin, I think you're gonna see more people come in, because you're gonna see lower-rate offerings. You're gonna see rates that are more attractive than any other rate you can get when the collateral is Bitcoin, period, the end."
"Why? Well, because it's easier to repossess. There's a lot of other reasons too, but just there, it's gonna be a cheaper rate. What does that do? It just attracts people to use it as collateral."
"That's really where the breaking point happens for retail in America - when you can go down to a bank and go, I own a Bitcoin, and they go, great, we'll give you a preferred rate against a loan attached to it, send it to this wallet and you'll get the money tomorrow."
