Split one tokenized stock into two ways to hold, one absorbs less volatility while the other absorbs more.

the core math behind mera comes from the same idea as the original f(x) model: one reserve is split into two claims, but the total value never changes. if the underlying stock token is worth $100, then the defensive claim plus the turbo claim must always add back to $100. in simple terms, f + x = p. the defensive side is given a target beta, so if its beta is 0.20 and the stock moves 10%, that side is designed to move roughly 2%. whatever part of the move the defensive side does not take is automatically pushed into the turbo side. nothing is being created or borrowed, the protocol is just redistributing the same underlying risk between two different holders. the turbo leverage comes directly from how much of the reserve sits on each side. mathematically it is x beta = 1 + (1 − defensive beta) × f / x. so if 60% of the reserve sits on the defensive side, 40% sits on turbo, and the defensive beta is 0.20, turbo comes out at roughly 2.2x exposure. if the underlying rises 10%, defensive moves about 2% while turbo moves about 22%. the important part is that this leverage is not manually chosen and it is not fixed. it changes as the value of each side changes, which is why mera shows the current turbo leverage and junior buffer rather than pretending every turbo position is permanently 2x or 3x. that junior buffer is basically the amount of the reserve still belonging to the turbo side, and it is what protects the defensive side from taking the full move. as the underlying falls, turbo absorbs more of the loss, its buffer gets smaller and its effective leverage rises. this is why a position that started around 2.4x can become much more leveraged after a large drawdown without the holder doing anything. if the buffer is completely exhausted, turbo reaches zero and is written down rather than liquidated, after which the defensive side can no longer keep the same reduced sensitivity. so the whole system is really a transparent trade between two preferences: one side gives up most of the upside for reduced downside, while the other takes that risk in exchange for amplified exposure.

a new market type is coming to mera. users will soon be able to trade the price of NFT collections with leverage without needing to buy the NFT itself. mera will take a live reference price for the collection and run it through the same risk engine used across the protocol, turning moves in that reference price into amplified exposure while the available buffer determines how much leverage the position carries. as the price and buffer move, the effective leverage adjusts with it rather than relying on a fixed borrowed position.

tvl in vault 1 has now reached $52,788, up $11,862 from our last update at $40,926. that’s another 29% increase as liquidity continues to build across mera. with depth growing at this pace, we’ll keep expanding the market set alongside it. another major update is planned to roll out later today. stats: mera.run/stats vault: robinhoodchain.blockscout.co…

you can now launch stock paired tokens with leverage through mera. instead of creating a token against spot NVDA, TSLA or another supported stock, creators can build the market around roughly 1x to 3x exposure from the start, bringing leveraged stock exposure directly into the token itself. only at mera.run.

mera v2 is now live : mera.run our goal with v2 is to expand mera beyond tokenized equities and open up leveraged trading for low and mid cap memecoins as well. mera’s structural leverage model means these markets do not need the kind of massive lending pools or liquidation infrastructure traditional leverage usually depends on, allowing supported long tail assets to trade with roughly 1x to 3x exposure. we’re also extending the stock paired launch model already available through pons. today a creator can launch a token against something like NVDA, meaning users buy and sell that token using spot NVDA. with mera, the same idea can use leveraged stock exposure instead. a creator could launch against 2x NVDA or 3x NVDA, with the leverage chosen when the market is created. instead of the other side of the pair simply tracking NVDA 1:1, it carries the amplified exposure created through mera. this gives creators a way to build new tokens around not just a stock, but a specific risk profile of that stock. 12 new leveraged memecoin markets have now been added to mera: CASHCAT, AI, HOOKR, MEME, SHROOM, FATCOIN, CHUMP, BONER, MICRODUCK, PIPEDOG, TENDIES and HMM. these are the first long tail assets live under v2, giving traders access to roughly 1x to 3x exposure on markets that would normally be limited to spot. as liquidity and usage grow, we’ll keep expanding the set from here. another major update is just around the corner. back to work for us, enjoy.

read this for a deeper breakdown of exactly why mera v2 works and how the new market structure comes together. docs will be updated momentarily with the full v2 details. xitter.cf/try_mera/status/209617…
a first look at mera v2 : mera.run mera v2 moves beyond tokenized equities and into a part of the market we think is still wide open on robinhood chain: leveraged trading for low and mid cap memecoins. these assets usually stop at spot because traditional leverage needs a lot around it before a market is viable. deep liquidity, lenders, liquidators and enough activity to keep the whole thing functioning. mera’s model changes that because the leverage is created structurally inside the market rather than by lending more capital to the trader. that means smaller assets do not need an enormous amount of initial liquidity just to have a usable leveraged market. the more interesting part is what this opens up with pons. users will be able to launch a token through pons and pair it directly against a stock token such as NVDA or TSLA. the creator or community seeds the initial pool and once enough liquidity exists, the token they created itself can become a leveraged market on mera. the meme is the asset being leveraged, while the stock token becomes the asset it trades against. that creates a market that is very different from simply putting a stock tied with a memecoin. imagine launching a NVDA paired token, seeding the initial liquidity and then bringing that token into mera where traders can take roughly 1x to 3x exposure to its movement against NVDA itself. the meme is still the asset being traded, but instead of being limited to spot, mera lets users choose how much of that move they want to take while the stock token acts as the other side of the pair. we think that becomes especially interesting for the long tail. instead of leverage being reserved for the handful of assets large enough for existing perp infrastructure, communities can create a spot market, seed real liquidity and build toward leverage from there. mera’s underlying model is what makes that possible. leverage comes from redistributing risk rather than borrowing it. there is still a lot we have not shown around market requirements, leverage limits, pool creation and exactly how pons launched assets will move into mera. all of that will be released with v2. for anyone wanting to understand why mera can create leverage this way, the underlying model is explained at mera.run/docs.
