Trauma doesn't make people stronger. It damages their nervous system. It hijacks their digestive track. It keeps the person in a constant loop of hypervigilance. To tell someone they are stronger because of trauma is to deny what it has cost them to survive.

People often think the phrase "enthusiastic (sexual) consent", used in educational texts & video's, is strange. Maybe it is.
But when dozens of men, in your own neighbourhood, are willing to rape an unconscious woman, I think the need for such a phrase is clear.

I just thought of another horrifying implication of the Pelicot trial: all these men who raped an elderly woman as she lay unconscious, are we meant to believe she was the only one they did it to? That just raping her was enough? I would be amazed if she is the only victim.

I finally got my time machine to work!
I just tested it by going back exactly 358 years, ended up in some London backstreet.
Time travel makes you hungry, but I found a bakery, however it was midnight so there was nobody around.
So I decided to make some bread myself.
I am not very good at this.
Things got a little out of hand, I hope I didn't do too much damage.
Just returned, I don't think I left a mark on the past, so all should be well... ;)

This is my problem with visiting nurses doctors and other people in the “helping” professions. Many do not respect our time and expect us to be ok if they are running 2 hours late as if we don’t have other plans or something unavoidable happens
