Google Gemini has gotten *very* good at understanding videos, so me and @GrantCuster put together a quick demo that helps you easily parse and scrub through videos based on your prompts and the timestamps it returns!
Code available on GitHub:
github.com/trippedout/gemini…
It uses the new Gemini Files API, tokenizing videos and caching them on Google servers so that you only need to upload once and can then prompt as much as you want.
Bring-your-own-keys (via aistudio.withgoogle.com) and run it locally to get started asap.

🙏 So thrilled and thankful to be working amazing partners from @Initialized, @khoslaventures and others on this journey at @automat_ai
Also we're hiring! So send me a DM if you're interested in building a future where anyone can automate the tedium of the work they do or work with the best AI agents available to help them do so.

What should we do?
🔹 Tax vehicles by weight.
🔹 Test vehicles for pedestrian and cyclist safety (still doesn’t happen in the US)
🔹 Require a CDL for the most gigantic vehicles
Left alone, this problem will only worsen. Governments must step up.

If you work(ed) at Twitter, here's an extremely helpful guide from @tech_actions ⤵️
Last night, friends from the birdapp reached out to us, asking us to publish a layoff guide for their coworkers.
It is written thoughtfully and with great care. If you work at the company, we encourage you to take a look.
