BREAKING: Russia has launched 6 ballistic missiles into Kyiv with no air alert and no reported air defence activity, with Ukrainian sources saying the US has now cut intelligence sharing that gives early warning of Russian ballistic launches, per initial reports.
As a result, multiple ballistic missiles impacted the city minutes ago.
The US threatened 3 days ago to cut off all intelligence sharing with Ukraine unless Kyiv halted its strikes on Russian refineries. US detection provides the 3 to 5 minute civilian warning for a ballistic launch from western Russia, and without it that window drops to half or to nothing on many trajectories.

Norwegian military personnel discovered that Chinese-owned Volvo rental vehicles had been automatically recording and storing video footage during a major military exercise in Oslo from September 14 to 18, according to Norwegian newspaper DN.
The recordings captured soldiers entering and exiting vehicles, their movements, locations and security codes used to access restricted military areas. The recording function had not been requested or disclosed to military personnel.
Despite the discovery, the Norwegian Armed Forces continued using the vehicles throughout Exercise Hovedstad because few alternatives were available.

BREAKING: Iran threatens to destroy the undersea internet cables running through the Strait of Hormuz along with data centers and artificial intelligence facilities across the entire region if the war restarts.
"We have not yet included these assets among our targets," but "many of these cables, data centers, artificial intelligence facilities, and numerous other sites will be destroyed" as soon as the war restarts, Iran's SNSC chief Rezaei says.

BREAKING: US threatens to cut off all intelligence sharing with Ukraine if it continues attacking Russian oil refineries, with Witkoff and Kushner telling the Ukrainian team in Miami that sharing could be cut off if Kyiv did not halt the strikes, calling it "a firm request from POTUS," per the FT.
A senior Ukrainian official directly rejects the request, saying "We will burn Russian refineries."
The Ukrainian team cut the trip short rather than hold a second round of talks, and hours later Ukraine struck an oil terminal in Rostov-on-Don.

BREAKING: Ukraine will escalate drone and cruise missile strikes on Russia's energy and oil infrastructure through the winter, with Ukrainian military sources saying the Trump administration's attempt to use Russian diesel to lower US prices before the midterms "will bear no fruit," per initial reports.
The US lifted sanctions on Russian diesel hours ago, authorizing imports through April 2027, after Trump announced Russia would supply a total of 4.8 million tons of diesel.
Russia's refineries are the supply those strikes would be aimed at, and more than 51% of Russia's total oil refining capacity is already offline.
