NEW: Elon Musk has made a $1 billion investment in Skydance, the company that owns CNN, according to Semafor. On October 6, Paramount closed the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, becoming the combined entity Skydance. "We are building a true product and tech team," David Ellison told CNBC earlier this month. "We are a big believer that artificial intelligence is a tool for artists, not the other way around." Skydance is led and controlled by the Ellison family, who are friends of President Trump.

Dumbass. Starshield is already nationalized. It belongs to @USSpaceForce . @Starlink , owned by @elonmusk , is a civilian, commercial service, whose terms of service forbid it from use for war.
I don't believe that Musk turned off Starlink to Ukraine at his own sole initiative. I believe Trump is implicated up to his painted eyebrows. But if it should be true that Musk did it - then Starlink and Space X must be nationalized by the US government immediately.

While everyone in Europe is busy giving the U.S. a moral lecture over the diesel deal, Brussels has quietly lifted sanctions on Russian sable imports. And the best part? All 27 EU member states voted for this. Sanctions are sacred. Until they clash with someone's winter wardrobe😂

Iain Dale completely loses it after a caller refuses to go along with the approved narrative on Russia. The caller says most people simply don’t care about Russia, don’t see it as a threat, and just want lower energy bills. “On the street, nobody agrees with your talking points.” Dale asks: “You don’t think Russia is a threat to this country?” “No. It’s not”, the caller replies. “The average person just wants their bills to come down.” Dale then explodes: “Yeah but they don’t want bills to come down by appeasing a brutal Russian dictator who’s invaded the sovereign country of Ukraine and killed hundreds of thousands of people! What part of that do you not get!?” The caller hits back: “What are you talking about? As if we’re some kind of beacon of humanity. Give me a break!” You can shout at people all you like, Iain, but it doesn’t make you right. Plenty of people don’t support the Ukraine war, don’t believe Russia is an existential threat to Britain, and know there’s more to this than Putin just waking up one day and deciding to invade for fun. They don’t buy the “Hitler” comparison and would happily buy cheaper oil if it meant improving the shocking living standards created by years of reckless government policy. As the caller points out, we’re hardly saints either, not with the regimes we back and the things Britain has done itself. Most people have seen through the nonsense.

Churchill in fact did shorten WW2 and the Nazi occupation of Europe by years. He did so by doing a deal with Stalin. Washington did a deal with the French to advance the American Revolution, and Ho Chi Minh with the Soviets to end the US occupation of Vietnam. Putin and Moscow are on the right side of history vis-a-vis Ukraine and NATO expansionism. Zelensky on the other hand belongs on the same historical spectrum as Kerensky. In other words, a minor figure raised up to the level of a major figure by the West, until events finally and inevitably overtook him and he faded into the mists of time as a historical footnote.
Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.
