MLB's Arizona Fall League is experimenting with rules that regulate the positioning of outfielders in an effort to increase the number of balls in the gap. Outfielders under these rules are playing closer to the lines than normal, creating much bigger swaths of grass in the alleyways in left-center and right-center field. The state of Acuña is truly depressing. Guy I had as a fathead of freshman year of high school and now I’m a college grad. Love the guy with all of my heart, but you cannot truly be a superstar unless you make big moments in the playoffs happen. He hasn’t recorded a postseason RBI in 6 years. I’ve defended him year after year, but it’s getting to a point. 3 years of not being able to stay on the field, 6 years of 0 postseason success. That’s not a superstar. It kills me typing this out, but when his contract runs out what can you point to in the last 3 seasons that’s justifies any sort of notable contract
