Dr. Fonebone believed
the world would end
not with a whimper or a
honk, or a dribble,
or a gonk.
Not a fagroon klubble,
or a snip and a snap,
but with a little bit of each
and a final
plop! flabadap.

I love people still love The Rutles.
Great song. Beautiful and otherworldly.
The Nancy & Lee duet, “Some Velvet Morning,” is widely regarded as one of the greatest duets of all time. In fact, it topped London’s Daily Telegraph’s 2003 list of the 50 Greatest Duets Ever. The song is anything but conventional, featuring dramatic shifts in time signature from 4/4 to 3/4 that add to its distinctive, dreamlike quality.
Lee originally wanted to record the two parts separately and splice them together, but the band, which included Don Randi, Carol Kaye, and Hal Blaine, insisted they could handle the tricky changes. What you hear on record was recorded in one take!
In this clip, my buddy Don Randi talks about the recording of this iconic song.

Blondie return with a new album and Johnny Marr-penned single. “I’m not sure what the fuck I’m supposed to say at this point, except that we’re incredibly grateful,” says Chris Stein pitchfork.com/story/blondie-…

Today marks 30 years since JUSTUS was released. Yikes!
Davy, Mike, Peter and I were all back together, not only making a new Monkees album, but writing the songs, playing the instruments, producing the record, heck, even doing the catering ourselves. For the first time, the four of us were responsible for the whole thing from beginning to end. The title really said it all: JUSTUS. Just us.
The record gave us a chance to find out what The Monkees sounded like in 1996 when nobody was handing us a musical blueprint. We could follow our own instincts, revisit a song like “Circle Sky,” and bring in new songs including “Run Away from Life,” “You and I,” and one of my contributions, “Regional Girl."
It was great having all four of us back in the studio together, making a record on our own terms.
Thirty years on, I’d love to know which JUSTUS track has stayed with you! Let me know below. It's still available on vinyl from our buddies at Friday Music

Was just going to post one of the out of context then decided to do a text, instead split the difference and do both.
Hagemeyer was a short strip idea Charles Schulz had focusing on adults. About an office worker named Elmer Hagemeyer and shouting boss named Miss Hamhock.

God forgive this pastor.
So many of these people are so busy not being Catholic that they stop being Christian.
In the end, if we Catholics are wrong about Mary, then what he did means very little.
If we are even partially right, this man is in danger of hell.
Whatever else you think Mary is, she is Jesus Mother.
Her “yes” gave us The Son of God.
She held God in her womb.
She fed God from her breasts.
She pondered His Word in her heart.
She stood at the cross.
She is The Mother of God.
