"The govt was so determined not to release this information that it is only now, after two years of legal challenge, that we finally have it. And now we know why they were so desperate to hide it!"

Having recently lowered the age at which children join us it’s become clear that group circle time just isn’t going to work! Sofa time - I like that 😊

"Research shows that the first 5 years of a child's life are absolutely critical for their long-term learning & development and yet, when it comes to education policy, all too often the early years sector is still seen as the poor relation of schools."

Outdoor play is particularly beneficial during times of anxiety, stress, & adversity: it provides a sense of control & independence; it helps children make sense of things they find hard to understand #moreplayplease

No holiday clubs for us this summer. I do wonder how exactly the nation can get back to work if parents have no childcare??
The DfE has confirmed to us that holiday clubs are currently not permitted to open. It says this position will be kept "under review" as it follows scientific & medical advice.
We've updated our FAQs to reflect this eyalliance.org.uk/nurseries-…
Really really hope that outdoor learning will become the norm!

We are back! Heartwarming to see the children come in with big smiles on their faces, just picking up where they left off 😊

Please don't cut back ivy too hard in your garden! Right now, it's superb nesting habitat for birds. In autumn, its flowers will offer late-season food for pollinators like bees, butterflies, hoverflies. Then it'll offer winter berries for birds 🐝
The wonderful @bluebellrailway - it is always a highlight of our nursery childrens day seeing it go by from the field. They need our help
We've raised £300K! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Three-hundred thousand thanks to everyone who has contributed to our Emergency Appeal and helped us reach our initial target 🎈🎈🎈
