“We must stop treating health as charity and treat it as a right, a human right.” Winnie Byanyima, Executive Director, UNAIDS At #WHS2026, we asked Winnie Byanyima what needs to change in global health. She called for a new deal: “We need a new global compact on health, publicly financed health systems that serve all people, where communities are at the center of health decision-making and where human rights of everybody are respected.” #WHS2026 #GlobalHealth
