BREAKING: Elon Musk says SpaceX, $SPCX, and Tesla, $TSLA, have formed special committees to discuss a potential merger between the two companies.
"I do think there’s a lot of merit to combining the companies as we are pretty much in the superintelligence singularity, and there’s a lot to be gained from cooperating," Musk said.
"Do I think it would be a good idea? Yes, but at the end of the day, the shareholders have to be supportive of this," Musk said.

$META'S PROMETHEUS AI SUPERCLUSTER NOW CONNECTS HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF NVIDIA GPUS, WITH 1 MILLION PLANNED
Meta has completed the first phase of its gigawatt-scale Prometheus supercluster in Ohio, which was used to train its latest Muse Wonder AI models.
The system combines NVIDIA $NVDA GB200 and GB300 NVL72 platforms across multiple interconnected buildings, operating as a single large-scale training system.
Meta says it has reduced training interruptions by 99% from their peak, following extensive engineering work with NVIDIA on hardware reliability, networking and firmware.
The company reported more than 85% productive training time for Muse Wonder pretraining and over 90% for reinforcement learning.
Meta plans to expand the cluster further with NVIDIA's next-generation Vera Rubin systems, continuing its buildout of infrastructure for frontier AI models.

$NVDA is reportedly seeing over $35B in RTX PRO 5500 orders from ByteDance, $BABA and Tencent as Chinese tech giants look to secure AI chips under U.S. export restrictions.
Whats wild is that these GPUs use GDDR7 instead of HBM allowing Nvidia to serve China's inference market without taking memory or advanced packaging capacity away from Rubin.
And with Chinese demand reportedly exceeding 6M GPUs against just 3M planned for global production in 2027, the opportunity could be massive if export approvals and shipments actually materialize.

$NVDA is reportedly requiring Samsung, $MU and $SKHY to build the base die for its next-generation custom HBM on $TSM 3nm process.
That gives Nvidia more flexibility to shift orders between suppliers as HBM prices rise while putting TSMC in a position to benefit regardless of which memory maker wins the business.

Nvidia $NVDA CEO Jensen Huang said on the BG2 podcast that the company's AI infrastructure offering has grown from roughly $18B to more than $40B per gigawatt.
Huang explained that Nvidia has evolved from a GPU company into one of the largest and fastest-growing networking companies, with CPUs becoming another major growth driver.
The company is also expanding into storage, security and networking, allowing it to capture more AI infrastructure spending from hyperscalers Microsoft $MSFT, Amazon $AMZN, Alphabet $GOOGL and Oracle $ORCL, alongside neoclouds like CoreWeave $CRWV and Nebius $NBIS.
Huang estimates Nvidia now captures roughly 40% of cloud providers' capital spending and up to 80% in certain on-premises and neocloud deployments.

Global smartphone purchases have collapsed.
Worldwide smartphone shipments dropped -22.0% YoY in Q3 2026, to 255.3 million units, their largest quarterly decline on record.
Samsung's shipments fell -5.8% YoY, to 57.8 million units, while Apple's declined -4.0% to 57.3 million units.
At the same time, Xiaomi shipments fell -29.2% YoY to 30.7 million units, Oppo dropped -34.5%, to 25.6 million units, while Vivo fell -31.5%, to 19.1 million units.
This comes as memory costs have surged +350% since last year, driven by AI-related demand, putting further pressure on smartphone manufacturers.
As a result, soaring component costs are forcing vendors to raise prices and reduce budget-focused offerings, with consumers increasingly keeping their existing devices for longer.
Global smartphone sales are contracting amid surging prices.
