Today I was denied entry into the West Bank, alongside other parliamentary colleagues from across Europe as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We were held for 8 hours, interrogated and ultimately prevented from crossing the border.
I came to stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land. Instead, we were turned away, with no reason given.
More than ever, Palestinians are being subject to terror and violence by the IDF and illegal settlers. Increased blockades, demolitions and unthinkable violence have become the norm for Palestinians in the West Bank.
It is more important now than ever that we bear witness and show our solidarity.
But we were prevented from doing so.
I will continue to do everything I can to apply pressure on the Netanyahu government, and those responsible for the persecution and genocide of the Palestinian people.

🗣️ Westminster has finally admitted that Scotland should have had an oil fund worth at least £1 trillion. Scotland’s vast energy wealth has been squandered. Scotland must not lose out again. Every penny of energy wealth from Scotland’s waters must be reinvested into Scotland!

I have just seen the film NAZA
EVERYONE should watch it. This crime committed by Israel and supported & enabled by the West including the UK is our generation's equivalent of the Holocaust
All those UK politicians and UK mainstream media people who have spent 3 years parroting Israeli propaganda to deny or justify the Nazi-like mass murder of civilians, should watch it
@chiefrabbi and @BoardofDeputies who have been cheerleaders for Israel's GENOCIDE should watch it and hang their heads in shame

🏴Wales should have the right to decide its own future.
🏴Cymru dylai fod efo’r hawl i benderfynu ar ddyfodol ei hun.
For the first time, the Welsh Government is being led by a party that believes Wales should have the power to choose its own future, and today, thousands marched through the streets of Aberystwyth celebrating that ever growing belief in our nation’s potential.
No more drift and stagnation. We’re working tirelessly to address the greatest challenges facing our society, and we’re determined to build a thriving, ambitious, confident nation.

"Scotland was a sovereign kingdom for centuries, with the oldest flag in Europe." Dr. Christophe Dorigné-Thomson of Liberation Scotland speaking at Club suisse de la presse-Geneva press club.
"So in 1954, a Royal Commission on Scottish Affairs, wrote that Scotland was a partner in a union and not a dependency. Scotland was a partner in a union and not a dependency.
"So the British state created a commission to say that.
"I'm half French, France would never create a commission like that, if there was not a major, major problem, it would be impossible.
"You do not create a commission to say that you have a territory that's not a dependency when nobody's asking anything about it. Or supposedly.
"And so colonies are not only about settlers, but also about imposing constitutions. We know about that in Scotland. So pause for a moment on how extraordinary this is.
"Scotland was a sovereign kingdom for centuries, with the oldest flag in Europe. Its own crown, its own parliament, its own courts, its own church, its own system of law. Yeah. Fully developed state.
"It had trading posts all over Europe. Scotland conducted its own diplomacy. It had an alliance with France for 250 years. Scotland played an outsized part in founding the United States.
"Scots served as rectors of University of Paris Sorbonne for decades. Scottish General helped develop the militaries of the US, even founded them.
"Russia, France, Netherlands, Scottish doctors everywhere, inventors, etc. And we are supposedly a voluntary partner that can't even have a vote.
"So its independence was proclaimed to the Pope in the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320, which largely inspired the US Constitution. Then it was recognised by the Pope and recognised by England itself.
"Europe has restored states. I think that's an important point. Poland reappeared in 1918. The Baltic states recovered their sovereignty. Norway left its union with Sweden, but Scotland annexed in 1707, more than three centuries, remains unexamined.
"So Europe has repeatedly undone annexations, actually, and unions. So that's an important point."

Given that the strongest support for Welsh independence is among 16–35-year-olds, there is little doubt that one day Wales will vote in favour of independence. 🏴
It’s important that we all contribute to the campaign in every way we can.
