as a csa survivor i genuinely enjoy depictions of sexual assault in art and i think it's important to explore it. "sexual assault is icky and should never be on screen" is one of the most repulsive opinions i've seen parroted in supposedly progressive spaces and it frustrates me

no i don't think your story is bad because there's sexual assault i think it's bad because you don't respect sexual assault survivors or the trauma we deal with in the wake of it and it bleeds into the art you create in a genuinely vile way

anyways i hesitate to say i "enjoy" depictions of sexual assault in art because people put connotations on that word that do not fit why i'm drawn to well done depictions of it. but also often engaging with this kind of art at all feels like people saying this 100x
