What we have is a billionaires crisis. The economy is shaped towards rewarding millionaire and billionaire investors and owners at the expense of squeezing the majority.

Pensioners don’t need to buy furniture? Average life expectancy is around 80, with 50% living long beyond that - but still in the chair they bought 30 years ago?

That might be a little too generalised? Many are very happy with the care they receive. Some providers (not necessarily the big ones) are superb!

Essentially it is about switching liability from the individual to the state. Same care, but paid for by the public funding. If we want better (and more) care, that’s a very different conversation requiring even higher spending. Few would say the quality of care right now is good enough.

Important to remember that the debate around social care right now is about *free* care - ending the lottery of life that means some are financially ruined by care costs as they age. It is not about providing *better* care, which would require spending of another order…

It was introduced in recognition that state pension at the time had fallen so far behind the cost of living that bigger than inflation %ages were necessary to restore it to the original purpose. It should be removed, but only when it has reached a basic liveable, dignified income

We seem to be framing Social Care as looking after old people, and so, rearranging pension structures would be the answer. In reality Social Care is from teenage years upwards and includes in work support as well as later life. As such, whole system review is necessary.

Adult Social Credit is not just about “frail pensioners” it’s about people, from teenage years, who need support to live the best life they can. Framing it as purely about restructuring the pensions and support for those aged over 67 paints the wrong picture.

There are around 100 people here. 7 of them have red T shirts. This is approximately the ratio of Brits who voted to leave the EU because they were worried about immigration. The ones in blue did not and were not.

The EU will make their initial position as being a full integration but then negotiate backwards until we reach a position that works for everyone. That’s how negotiations work. Nothing to be scared of.

Keep pushing. I believe the 90-180 issue is an achievable key change to making more progress.

If a 25-year-old should be free to live and work in Europe... Why shouldn't a 45-year-old? Or a 65-year-old? Freedom doesn't stop being freedom because you had another birthday.

Or perhaps, as he indicated, venting via the chimney (in those houses that have them)?

If Elon liquidated his stock it implies that someone would buy it. Those people would keep the jobs going. Of course, not exactly sure who could afford to buy any substantial part of his companies.
