The point is that a vehicle hit this at high speed and if someone had been waiting to cross at that moment they could have been injured or killed. Multiple vehicles have mounted pavements around the gyratory at high speeds and have even ended up in gardens and inside homes. – at Lambeth, London

Did we specifically say this was caused by the gyratory road layout? No. But we wanted to highlight the large number of incidents caused by speeding in and around the area.
