VEGETATION FIRE - RPT @ 12:28 p.m. in the area of Tule Valley Road x Richard Nixon Boulevard in Aguanga. Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a vegetation fire. The first on-scene engine reported approximately 5 acres of vegetation burning with a moderate to a rapid rate of spread. Additional air resources have been requested.

At a fire about a month ago, we lost. We were unable to save a victim and we failed. I was not so pleased and it showed. Had people tell me to calm down. I did not and it turns out the family noticed and it meant a lot to them that I cared. They brought by a gift basket to the firehouse to say thank you. It's an honor to be given the responsibility to protect the lives of those in need. I'll never forget that or just move on if we fail.

𝗔𝗚𝗘: Adults are typically found between the fire and front or back exit. Teens are often in the bathroom for reasons stated above. Children are often hiding under the bed, at the foot of the bed under covers, in the closet, or under toys. Infants are usually in cribs or in the parents’ or parent’s bed. Ask those who left the building for details about those inside!

Our crews responded to an elderly patient that had fallen from a ladder while hanging his Christmas lights. The patient was transported to the hospital, and the crew decided to finish hanging the last 25’ of lights for the family… We’re spreading the holiday spirit, keep it going everyone!🎄🎁🎅
