We have a very big DeFi expansion coming. It would be an understatement to call it a game. We prefer to refer to it as gamified DeFi. What does that mean? Fair question (we’ll answer that in another tweet soon). Here’s the back story: for a few years we have had a shelved project we wanted to launch. We even went as far as pitching and turning down money last year. The accelerator wasn’t going to provide us the advisory and mentorship we needed. Now we find the timing to be a gift with Net and being inspired to build Bond. With $Bond we knew we needed a proper expansion beyond what used to be called GambleFi like nets games (funny how quick CT forgets past trends). Anyways before $Bond launched we realized our shelved project would be perfect to build around $Bond. So this week we will be launching something that’s has been worked and tested and tried and experimented with and redesigned many times over the last few years. You really have no idea just how excited we are about this.

$Bond (B,B) ~ Our Supply is now crossing 7,500 tokens. Anyone can reasonably obtain 0.25-1%. Not too expensive but also not too cheap. Real financial bonds take time to mature (they require a holding period). Buying a meme with a “bonding curve” is a gimmick. By the time the meme LP goes live many wallets have accumulated 80-95% of supply. That supply overhang is a massive risk. You’re trading against a monopoly; that’s not true holder distribution.

We want to play a game, but it’s a fair game with a win-win condition 🤝 Let’s bring game theory optics to the $Bond case and look at how people make choices when what happens to them depends on what everyone else does. You might have heard of the classic example where two players can either work together or screw each other over. If both work together, both win, but each one is scared the other will bail first, so they bail too and everybody loses. With $Bond, staking pays you for sticking around, LPing pays you even more for keeping the pool deep, and the treasury has the floor’s back. You don’t have to trust anyone or hope people stay chill, because staying in is just the better play for everyone. This is a trustless state. It’s DeFi at its finest (B,B).

$Bond descends from the OHM lineage. This means the users rule and a set of smart contracts governs a protocol that almost runs on its own. we fine-tuned it, and we want to make it better every day and give $Bond more utility. Wait for it (B,B).
