In the Delhi Pogrom, at least 53 persons were slain. 40 were Muslim.
The Supreme Court is convinced that there is prima facie evidence that Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam are responsible for this pogrom.
They must have been the stupidest and worst planners of a riot in which 3/4 of the individuals slain were Muslims.

Indian Muslims played a far bigger role in the freedom struggle than the RSS. Muslims like Maulana Hasrat Mohani pushed for complete independence in 1921, and heroes like Ashfaqullah Khan died for the cause. The RSS, meanwhile, largely sat it out—Hedgewar joined protests personally, but the group focused on Hindu nationalism, not anti-British action.
